...fact is, mister, you start screwing up this team and I’ll personally hide-strap your ass to a pine rail and send you up the Monon Line. -Coach George, Hoosiers, 1986
But WELCOME to the new members...

I've always wondered what exactly he said. I'm guessing a pine rail is a train, and the Monon line is the route?

I've always wondered what exactly he said. I'm guessing a pine rail is a train, and the Monon line is the route? No, a pine rail was an actual railing, made of pine... Hyde strap was a kind of lashing or rope, Hyde-strapping someone to a pine rail was tantamount to tar-and-feather, but, yes, the Monon line was, in fact, a train route. back when I used the movie to teach leadership, I wondered the same things so looked it up.

Why was that blasted can obscuring the rest of the beach scenery?
Winding down on a Friday night with some fried chicken, cold beer, and the OCNLP message board. Does it get any better? (Theoretically yes, but not by much.)

Why was that blasted can obscuring the rest of the beach scenery? I made sure to click on it, so that I could get a good look at those cans uh...I mean... that can.
