Is anyone else getting inundated by pre-recorded robocalls that are spoken in what appears to be Chinese? We are getting them on landlines & cell lines, anywhere from 1 - 8 per day.
My initial reaction is that China was sending out a mass communique to all of its sleeper agents, to begin the takeover of the U.S. Once I turned off Alex Jones' show, my thought process was this may be a way to target Chinese illegal aliens who are above average in wealth. Maybe the message is stating that the caller is from ICE and that the callee is soon to be deported if $10,000 in Walmart gift cards aren't sent immediately. This would be a genius way to do this, because a majority of folks in Southern California don't speak Chinese, so the scam would stay off the radar of the public.
Or maybe they are speaking English and my hearing has finally gone...

I'd love to vent nasty about the increase in Chinese robocalls, but I'm sure the left considers all 1.4 billion Chinese an oppressed minority merely because of their epicanthic folds, so I'll hold my tongue.

I get them, too. I have had Chinese exchange students living with me for several years and I thought that 1 of them had used my home number as a reference and that's why we got targeted, but I heard other people say they get harassed also.
I think I'll hang on to one of those recordings and have one of the kids listen to it to find out what the hell it is they're saying. I'll let you know.

I NEVER answer my phones unless the caller ID indicates someone I know. If it doesn't, they can leave a message. No ID, and no message = 0% chance of ever speaking to me.
Haven't heard any Chinese messages.

I have two recommendations if you guys are in a position to adopt them. The first is to cancel your land lines. It's not the 90's anymore. The second is to switch to Verizon. Yes, it costs a little more, but you never get a dropped call, and robocalls are almost all disconnected after the first ring. I don't know how they do it, but it's worth the extra ten bucks a month.

I'll bet you've missed a lot of calls from Troy Thomas asking for your advice.

We don't have Verizon, but we still have the single ring for robocalls on the land line. (Our cell numbers are only given to family and a few friends).

You've already had Gass, and you passed him. See what I did there?

Someone posted that all of those Robocalls were actually Chinese citizens calling random folks in the US warning us about the upcoming Coronavirus.
I find that hard to believe.

Doubtful... the other theory I heard is, those are instructions to Chinese Nationals in the U.S. for militaristic or terrorist acts and they don’t have specific numbers to call so they’re using the shotgun approach. 🤷🏻♂️

Up with it we simply will not put.
