I’m missing something here. I can see that you both dislike the guy, but there’s no specifics..............Luca Davidsf gave some specifics above. Romney gave a limp effort in the 2012 election, and now has taken to stabbing Trump in the back in order to engage in some worthless virtue-signaling. Same with McCain (2008) and his efforts to undermine Trump (out of jealousy and anger at Trump's "I like those who don't get captured" comment) up to his own recent death. McCain infamous "thumb's down" vote on the ObamaCare repeal vote was the perfect capstone to his career: giving the middle finger to the voters by doing the exact opposite of what he campaigned to deliver. Losers both. At least Bob Dole had the decency to take the high road and lay low after his own defeat in 1996.

Speaking of detestable politicians, Adam Schiff is near the top.

I’m missing something here. I can see that you both dislike the guy, but there’s no specifics..............Luca As far as how he carried himself as a politician, the best way for me to describe it is to think of those folks who you have met during your life who seemed to have a "mask" on during a conversation. They were not comfortable in their own skin and you knew the way in which they were talking to you was not the way they talked normally. It was as if they were 8 years old and told to be on their best behavior. For me, I find this behavior insulting and condescending. I knew I was right about Romney acting fake on stage or in front of the press when there was the primary debate and in a moment of genuineness, Romney told another candidate "I'll bet you $10,000". That was real, that was Mitt Romney, a guy who believed enough in what he said to make a large wager in a braggadocio manner in front of millions. He then quickly flipped back to politician Mitt and tried to play down the comment and his financial ability to make such a wager. Another example was his reaction on the debate stage against President Obama when Candy Crowly basically came to Obama's defense about how he phrased the Bengazi attack. Mitt made an accusation, Crowly went out of line to take Obamas position and Mitt just melted. Could you imagine Trump or Newt Gingrich in that position? First, they would have torn Crowly a new one for stepping out of her role as a neutral administrator. Second, they would have hammered home the point of how the Obama administration lied over & over about Benghazi. It was a great opportunity to show strength and to put both Obama & the press in their place. Instead, Mitt let them abuse him and slunk away to the next subject. In my opinion, he lost the election right there. I highly doubt that the Mitt Romney who built Bain Capital acted that weak in the boardroom or in personal interactions.

Mitt losing to Obama was disappointing no doubt but he lives now as Hillary Clinton does, a soul that knows they should have been President but blew it and now life is a bitter pill.

I did not like him as a candidate any more than I liked Trump as a candidate, but Romney is out of gas. But what was the problem was to begin with? You didn't like him even as a candidate for what reason? I'm not sure what it means to say that someone is "out of gas" or why that would be a cause for disapproval...................................Luca He did not fight for the job. He was more reactionary in responding to the poo Obama threw against the wall. He relied too heavily on his accomplishment (s) as Governor of Mass and, to a lesser extent, as Senator, and he did not debate well at all. in contrasting Senator and Governor Romney with Presidential Campaign Romney, I had the distinct impression he was only pandering to the right while his preferences made mor centrist or maybe even a little left of center, and I hate being pandered to. He is “out of gas” as a has-been trying to, now, criticize a sitting president who is actually doing something: I am reminded of the old high school taunt, “If I want your opinion, I’ll flush twice.”

This is just sad. How can Pelosi's staff let her go out on camera this way?

Wow, that video is really disturbing, not only for her condition, but also for how rapidly it has come on. I'd be surprised if in the next few weeks she isn't hospitalized or enters some other kind of medical care for evaluation of her mental state. It's hard to tell whether it's her thinking or her ability to articulate that has declined, but I don't see how the House can function optimally with a Speaker in that condition.

The House doesn’t function optimally.
I don’t think it’s alcohol, because there are so many episodes like this and I doubt she’s drinking that regularly................Luca

I just had a twitter argument with “Fordama”. he believes the video of Pelosi has been doctored and showed a website that had the doctored version next to the verified version. i asked him if he is aware any mildly competent functionary can Doctor a slow video faster, too. That was the last I heard from him.

She reportedly did have a doctored video of her released on the Internet recently but I'm not sure if it was this one. I heard about it on the radio and also read it somewhere. This video may not be accurate after all.
Even if it was slowed down so as to make her look impaired, it's still a confused series of statements she made.........................Luca

Dave, the doctored video was a front page story in the L.A. Times today.

A "DOCTORED" video of Pelosi would include plastic surgery or the presence of a plastic surgeon....
