Anyone who has a problem with how the illegals are being housed

Has there been anything that remotely resembles a suggestion as to what we're supposed to do with them? Obviously we are just expected to welcome them in, give them a big meal, and then ask them, "Where can we drive you?"

Professor, obviously you will never get a liberal to admit it, but that is exactly what they want and expect, knowing full well that the majority of illegal aliens will never appear for their court hearings.
They know everyone who makes it through that gantlet is a potential Democratic voter down the road.

I know they believe that, but my experience with my South American in-laws, and my Mexican American friends/former teammates lead me to believe that they are wrong about that. For example, many, and maybe most, Hispanics are Catholic and pro-life.

Exactly how does a fake impeachment hearing work? Do they call fake witnesses, and are they allowed to give fake testimony? This whole charade sounds pretty faked up to me. And in the meantime, how does the business of a legislature get done if half the members of congress are out running for president, and the other half are conducting investigations on Trump? Never has this country been so ill served under any Congress. As a reminder, all 435 seats in the House are up for grabs in November 2020... you boys out on the left coast have a Herculean task of ousting your reps, but I think you’re up to it.

And they don't need the police to "protect" them or their families.

Like white people, black people, asians & every other race, their group consists of hardworking people, slackers & criminals. The percentage for each in each race is heavily influenced by culture. For example, more mexican men stay with their knocked up girlfriends compared to black men not due to some racial makeup, but due to cultural influence. The myth of the hard working Mexican in construction stems from the number of workers they throw at a job & their willingness to cut corners (again cultural). If you have 23 Mexicans painting a house and they don't do the proper prep work (remove wallplates, etc), of course they are going to get the job done faster than a dozen white, black or other race guys. Speed does not equal hard work.

Anyone who has a problem with how the illegals are being housed I do. I don't believe any illegal alien should be housed at all. Instead, set up a very large slingshot, strap a parachute on each illegal alien apprehended, and fire them a couple of miles back into Mexico. Just make sure you aren't firing into the wind, they will just float back over the border. Yea, some will keep coming back for the amusement park like thrill, but eventually they will give up.

Speed does not equal hard work. While anecdotal, I can only speak from the experience of my family, and the Mexicans I've ever had working for me in the past 30+ years. It ain't a myth.

This is actually a funny visual. Again, my family, and wife's family who came over here legally, and went through the lengthy process to stay here legally, would probably agree with you.

I hired multiple Hispanics when I ran Mimis Cafe and again when I ran Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus. I had zero problems as long as I hired from within the same extended family group. Not coincidentally, if I hired someone from outside the family group, he was the one with whom I had all the problems...
I will say, the Hispanics I hired were stellar employees: To the point that I would hire them before even considering a high school kid. All they wanted to do was work: Always on time, always thorough, always helping each other, if one of them was sick, someone of the “same name” would clock in on his time card and work his shift. And, but for that, they were honest to a fault.
I cannot say the rest of the Hispanic population has that work ethic, but those I hired definitely did. In the Mimis Cafe in Garden Grove, one of my kitchen staff came to me asking if I would help them learn English. I made a deal with him: I would help them learn English, if they would help me learn Spanish. I don’t know what became of them and their English, but today, I speak almost fluent Spanish.
As to the living conditions of those caught crossing illegally, yes, I have a problem with it... but it is a problem of their own making. Our ICE jails are over crowded... and the problem is made much worse by the liberal brain-dead clamoring to keep children with their parents.
Here’s my thinking on that last part: anyone (else) gets caught committing a crime, they go to jail. Anyone else going to jail, OF COURSE they are separated from their children. Illegals get caught the first time, it’s a misdemeanor. 2nd time, it’s a felony... separate the felons from their children.

OK, someone has to do it, so I'll ask the most naive question of all time: When illegal aliens cross the border and are captured, why are they detained rather than immediately returned to Mexico?

You mean other than the law that allows them to stay here while their case for asylum is being adjudicated?

Most don't cross over demanding asylum.

Most don't cross over demanding asylum. Looks like I'm the naive one. That's why I thought they couldn't just be sent back - by bus OR slingshot.
