Instead of obsessing about a guy who made his money in the private sector, how about inquiring into the riches of the self-styled "champions of the poor?" If only the media would actually do their job....

This whole Ukraine-gate impeachment fiasco is going to blow up in the faces of Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress. The story below by John Solomon in The Hill, one of the few honest journalists out there, is worth a read if you're interested in getting up to speed on this latest hysteria.

I think they have come to fruition, they can not win 2020 with the candidates they have fielded. Its all about going nuclear in a y other way to oust Trump.

I was going to post that transcript myself but you've already done so, Dave. I kept reading through it for the "bombshell", the "smoking gun", the inappropriate language indicating that presidential power was being abused. I got to the end of it and "What the hell?"
This is impeachment material? That is the best you can do? I didn't even detect anything suspicious. This is a big zero compared to "Russian collusion" and "obstruction of justice" etc. etc.
But you know what's going to happen, right? His opponents will insist that the telephone transcript has been tampered with and washed to eliminate all the known impeachable offenses. Then they'll subpoena every secret service agent, secretary and transcriptionist from here to the Ukraine to "get to the bottom of the coverup."
Oh, and the tapes. They'll insist on the "tapes." And if there are no tapes - do they even keep tapes of obscure presidential phone calls? - it will be obstruction of justice by destroying the tapes. Watergate all over again.

That was exactly my response once I’d finished reading the transcript.
It is amusing these haters thought they had him by the hang-down parts SO completely, they started their impeachment “inquiry” (note, not the actual impeachment, but an impeachment INQUIRY) before they read it. I am almost certain this is exactly why Trump waited to release the transcript until they were whipped into a frenzy.
Credo mentioned AG Barr: most don’t realize the DOJ is actively pursuing corruption here in Illinois: they started with alleged corrupt aldermen and former aldermen in Chicago, and are now moving over to some in our state legislature...

Watch over the next few days how folks on the left will adamantly declare the information released was not 'a transcript". They are fully aware that it is the summary conclusions written by two non-partisan clerks who were listening to the phone call, but since that isn't the text book definition of a "transcript", they will claim Trump never released any transcript.
They don't care at getting to the truth or what is right, all they care about is getting their way.
