This thread may lay dormant for a few months, but I thought I'd pass along this snippet.
This morning at Servite I noticed one of the Los Alamitos WP teams using the pool for practice. Didn't look like the varsity (too young and small). I assume Los Al has a pool; maybe it was being used by the varsity this morning. Seems like a bit of a drive from there.

Los Al... pretty much the entire school...is being redone.
Football team had to practice off campus all summer, including weights.

A lot of the teams in the past used the Joint Forces Naval base in Los Alamitos as a back up pool when there were issues. My son played there a few times. That would be a lot closer than going to Servite.

CDM and UCLA bound senior Tanner Pulice is your OC WP POY..... Orange County Boys Water Polo Player of the Year: Tanner Pulice, Corona del Mar www.ocregister.com/2019/12/20/orange-county-boys-water-polo-player-of-the-year-tanner-pulice-corona-del-mar/Tanner Pulice of Corona del Mar High in Newport Beach on Monday, December 16, 2019 is the Player of the Year for the Orange County Register’s All-County boys water polo team. NEWPORT BEACH — He sprinted hard on the counterattack and shot even harder. He spotted opportunities to draw exclusions in an instance. And he led teammates by example despite his personal anguish. Yes, opposing teams certainly faced multiple challenges when they encountered Corona del Mar attacker Tanner Pulice. “He knows how to do what he does best,” Foothill standout Jackson Matos said. “(And) he’s fast.” The UCLA-bound senior racked up 129 goals on 49 percent shooting, 86 drawn exclusions, 34 assists and 31 steals. He also sprinted at the beginning of quarters. And the 5-foot-10 Pulice accomplished it all as the unquestioned, marked man on a Sea Kings squad (19-11) that placed third in the difficult Surf League and lost in sudden-death overtime in the CIF-SS Division 2 quarterfinals to eventual champion Foothill. For his efforts, Pulice is the Register’s Orange County boys water polo player of the year, Corona del Mar’s first player to receive the honor since Olympian John Mann in 2002. Early in junior season, Pulice didn’t miss a match following the death of his brother Toby, who committed suicide. And as a senior, the strong-armed shooter became more vocal with teammates, who held him in the highest regard. “He got much more vocal his senior year,” Captan said of Pulice, who has served as captain on the U.S. national youth team. “He doesn’t miss games. He doesn’t miss training. The thing he’s gone through and he still doesn’t miss games. That’s really about a love for his teammates … and love for the game.”

SK, please take that photo down. The utter lack of diversity on that team and coaching staff are both shocking and disgusting.

So...somebody explain to me how Servite defeats Sant Margarita (12-10), finishes ahead of Santa Margarita (4th to SM's 5th), has a better record than Santa Margarita (18-8-0 to SM's 13-13-0), and yet gets stuck playing 25-6 Channel League Champion Santa Barbara, while Santa Margarita gets to play 14-14-0 Moore League Champion LB Wilson?

All I know is that, somehow, it's Bruce Rollinson's fault.....

If you guys knew how often Bruce Rollinson and Donald Trump have met in private to scheme up ways to screw this country, you'd be amazed.
