I've been playing fantasy football with the same core group of guys since 1985. A true fantasy geek.
Any of you guys also partake in this abomination of football?

I played for about 7 years (2006-2012). Lots of fun but a bit time-consuming. Was thinking about getting back into it this year with my son.

Dynasty league this whole time. Just enough $$ to keep it interesting, but not enough to get hurt.
Some of us have our kids involved also now.
League started Jerry Rice's rookie year, and has been going ever since. Been a fun ride.

It's actually even more fun when you have someone on your team that you watched in HS. DeShaun Foster was a good one for a bit. Not many great fantasy guys from OC besides him and Carson Palmer.

Once upon a time, I was unbeatable. And to make matters worse (this will surprise you), I was a domineering force in the trash talk arena too...
I would spend WEEKS leading up to the draft finding one or two sleepers and assembling my team with at least two backups (usually 3) just in case someone snagged my first choice.
Then, a few years back, the magic faded. In the final season, I didn’t even trash talk, because I couldn’t win a game to save my life. So I faded into oblivion...

Ha. What's funny about that is most of the guys I play with have had their asses handed to them enough times that we too have become VERY humble.
