4-stars and 5-stars; all others are politely declined admission. You can't say there aren't standards. Credo, with all due respect: (1) The young man in question is not a 4-star or 5-star player. (2) He has three years of Catholic high school education, just as Blaze McKibben did. So please don't pretend Servite would not have accepted him if he had knocked on their door instead of ours. (3) And please, enough with the standards. It was only a few years ago that a touted athlete from a public school tried to transfer to Mater Dei with a 0.16 GPA (i.e. five F's and one D). He was declined. Imagine our surprise less than two weeks later when he was enrolled at Servite and a member of their football team. I guess the school's vaunted rigorous academic standards are somewhat flexible. (1) Which is probably why he wasn't accepted, seemingly proving my point. On the other hand, the young man I was referring to was Raleek Brown, who is considered by many to be the #1 RB in the California 2022 class. So I'd call that at least 4 stars. (2) Same kid, Raleek Brown, who has exactly zero years of Catholic school education. (3) You have documentary proof of this I assume? Send me the name of the kid on PM and I'll check it out. He was more likely declined at Mater Dei because he wasn't a 4-star, like the other unnamed kid from above who was declined despite having three years of Catholic education. Less-than-4-star kid with three years of Catholic high school education.......NOT ACCEPTED 4-star from Stockton with no Catholic education......ACCEPTED Hmmmm....

New Zealand Williams to MD. Wait--I thought Mater Dei had a policy of not taking senior transfers from within the Trinity League? Desperate times call for desperate measures...

Don't laugh. At St. John Bosco that's honor roll material.

General Booty has left Jserra and headed back to Texas. Sammy Green has transferred to HB taking a few Jserra teammates with him. Reports of Jserra losing at least ten players are accurate. Rob Johnson will be shopping for a QB.

I think JSerra has decided to change course and drop out of club football. For a number of reasons, the compromises necessary to field a club team aren’t justified. Academically, socially, economically, ethically, etc, it just isn’t worth it...................Luca

And not only New Zealand is coming, but Ross is also a soon to be senior coming from inside the conference. MD losing may have been the worst thing to happen for everyone else. Everything is on the table. They ain't holding back. I'm entertained

New Zealand Williams to MD. Then why does his twitter handle say St. Bernard?

Serra also lost their "deep pockets".

There seems to be a very clear change if all those are occurring.

Yep, its St Bernards not MD. That's an interesting choice. A talented kid and his family decide to leave a program that is imploding and has the choice to go to (a) A program that is a national power, won two straight national championships, was a sack and fumble away from possibly winning a third, and may contend again in 2020, or (b) A Division 13 program 60 miles away, less than a quarter mile from the north runway at LAX, who played Loyola and nine cream puffs last season, and still went 4-6. Hmm, I wonder why he they would choose option 2.
