By the way I am still disappointed you didn't mention anything about the mediocre less than D1 public school with no claim on minority athletes took you to OT at Battle of the Beach and was one catch called out of bounds in OT from winning. For what its wort -It wasn't ruled out of bounds, Cooper didn't maintain control and couldn't hold on to the ball to finish the catch. |

By the way I am still disappointed you didn't mention anything about the mediocre less than D1 public school with no claim on minority athletes took you to OT at Battle of the Beach and was one catch called out of bounds in OT from winning. I didn't mention it largely because I place as much importance on how teams perform in passing tournaments as I do in tiddlywinks results. It's just kids in their underwear playing throw-and-catch. If you think taking Mater Dei to overtime at Edison means something, we have two openings for preleague games in 2023. Feel free to give us a call and we'll see if you can take us to overtime again.Spoken like a true champion. Why were the MD coaches besides themselves when they were getting beat in these meaningless games, shouldn't they just have shrugged their shoulders instead of spitting and fuming? Whey did the media show up or NCAA scouts in this meaningless affair? But most of all it means something to these kids, I know it does to ours, do you speak on behalf of yours? Why must you year after year, from board to board regress to childhood insults and tantrums? Seriously? "we have two openings for preleague games in 2023". Not many, but only a few "like" teams want to play you. "Feel free to give us a call and we'll see if you can take us to overtime again." If that kind of comment makes you feel good, makes you tough guy living vicariously through your assemblage of talent, feel free to do so but I made no inference to anything remotely close to that so stop injecting false football fodder into my posts. |

SK, there's no need to get your panties in a wad. You asked me why I didn't comment on that "game", and I answered you honestly. If you didn't want an answer, you shouldn't have asked. And I don't think my posting about how relevant I think these tournaments are reflects either on my "intellect" or what I "think of others". These forums are for expressing our opinons, and if you don't like mine, that's not my problem. |

It's kinda true SK80. Beating MD in shorts at USC was no great shakes for us. We weren't at full strength, and played a bunch of freshmen against them. Pretty sure they were missing all their dudes too.
Different story in the fall.

It's kinda true SK80. Beating MD in shorts at USC was no great shakes for us. We weren't at full strength, and played a bunch of freshmen against them. Pretty sure they were missing all their dudes too. Different story in the fall. Didn't notice dudes missing, MD went went with starter Qb all game, CDM plays starter every other possession FYI. That said, its 7v7 an interesting match non the less. Why you two keep trying to tie in to the gridiron or Friday Night Lights is beyond me. |
