As has the poaching. Servite has snagged TE Keyan Burnett, the #2 receiver on JSerra's roster last season. It appears the OC Buckeyes are reforming on La Palma. Like the former Griffins two years ago, and Shancco Matautia last year, Burnett was a former teammate of Noah Fifita and T-Mac.
The key word being OC--not San Bernadino or L.A. Counties.

Is that where we're splitting the hairs now? At the county line? Sorry, I have a tough time keeping up. So it's OK to buy the top contributors of an 8th-grade national championship football team, key members of its coaching staff, plus players to be named later, as long as they're from Orange County, but once you hit the county line it's hands off?

Can’t we all just agree that much of this transferring business is distasteful and that Negro at Bosco forced everyone else’s hands by doing it first. I think that’s a common cause we can all point to so we all feel vindicated in our own malfeasance. If Bosco had just kept being a doormat, none of this would be happening. #BlameNegro

If you look at the 15 years up to 2013 pretty much everyone in the current Trinity League won a league title and/or CIF title during that period. The only exception being JSerra, which was still in its infancy as a school but was competitive by 2013. The 2011 Friars went 5-0 in league but won three of those games by 8, 7, and 1 point. Nobody was boat-racing their opponents by 45+ points. That's the kind of parity I think everyone would prefer to see. From 2013-2019, we've seen a Bosco-MD CIF title game matchup in 5 out those 7 years, with neither school having a single competitive game in the first two rounds of the playoffs. That's a farce.

Sounds good to me. We'd take our chances with an Orange County limit all day every day. Kick St. John Bosco out of the Trinity League and make it an all OC affair. #Dollars&Criddell p.s. but it doesn't mean we can't all still be friends....

Seems like the blame is falling on Walt's Disney and Knott for building successful attractions, and not the attendees for choosing to go there instead of Lion Country Safari or the Japanese Deer Village.

Someone to blame is the important thing, especially to some of the more self-righteous folks on this forum who seem to have their heads planted firmly in the sand, or other shady places, when it comes to the actions of their own diminutive coach and his staff...

It wouldn't surprise me at all if CDM was attracting xfers in a lot of sports. They really have done a nice job of building very good programs.

"Attracting" of course, you have great athletic department, CIF Champs in so many sports, but mostly beach & babes.... Can't go into the other sports, each it's own dynamic, since we mainly talk football I have to agree 110% that the program and it's coaching staff now has to be an 'attraction" for players. Question is will CDM take them and can many whom would actually think CDM would be good for their football career and advancement actually be able to swing getting or going to CDM? No need to mention all the obstacles....... MD threw a few out the other day so I won't repeat them again. By the way, CDM listed 108 players this year on Varsity, their Freshman team played stellar going 7-1-1 and SMOKED every team in Sunset.
