Goff isn't given enough credit for playing through that fracture/dislocated thumb on his throwing haand in the second to last game. I assume you all saw him reduce it by himself in between plays. He's not given enough credit for playing through that.
He had surgery and was playing (fairly well) again within a week. That had to hurt. Give credit where it's due. That impressed me and showed me that he's a pretty tough guy. ..............................Luca

I give him full credit for being tough when he hurt his thumb, but I also know a lot of tough construction workers that aren't very good NFL quarterbacks either. The bottom line on Goff is that something killed his confidence, and he spent the last two years looking confused and rarely if ever making a big play when it was needed.

What killed his confidence was the loss of a legitimate deep threat, Todd Gurley and two excellent offensive linemen replaced by a guard and center who are very average at best.............no one to reliably stretch the defensive backfield, no gamebreaker running back to freeze everyone on play actions, and less pass protection. Plus Sean McVay's innovations not being so innovative after 3 years of utilization.

Was never high on Gurley like so many were...., but this is just sad, tough racket....., the RB position even more so...,

Gurley has a degenerative knee condition. His career was never going to be a long one.

I'm happy with the outcomes of this weekend's Wild Card games. I do wish the Steelers had made a better show of it, especially after such a great win over the Ravens last week, but overall, the right teams won (especially Cincinnati).
I hope my saying that now doesn't put the hex on the Rams.

I’m glad the Rams will be playing Tampa Bay because they can’t beat either Green Bay or San Francisco.
