Accusations of racism at Lincoln/San Clemente game

So I am confused..., is this like it must be true because of th environment we ar sin? What happen to proof not heresy? 

Quotes from the Register, (we heard it but can't identify who it was nor if they were students from San Clemente)

“(I)t is evident from these testimonials that the Lincoln High School students and fans felt unwelcome on our campus,” the letter said. “As a school and as a district, we do not tolerate racist or hateful rhetoric and actions that target any group or person.”

The letter did not say that the people who said the racial epithet or the derogatory words were San Clemente students or if any student discipline would be taken.

“We could not identify the students, but it is believed that they were San Clemente students based on statements we received from both Lincoln High and San Clemente students,” said Capistrano Unified School District public information officer Ryan Burris.

I wasn't there and have no idea nor information pertinent to this story, however when I read vague accusations like this I am taken aback when accusing someone or a school of ignorant and unacceptable behavior. Almostt reads like we (SCHS) are proud to bow down and accept responsibility for the sins of history. 


Again, "we can not identify" and "..but it is BELIEVED that they were San Clemente students?
