There are a myriad of examples (guns, Trump, etc.), but I'll start with this:

Yes, just like Beto O'Rourke is the best AR-15 salesman in the history of the gun industry.

Hell, at restaurants, I now ask for a straw even if I didn't order a drink.

Chick-Fil-A has apparently given in to the LGBTQ mob and will no longer make donations to organizations like the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This will be a disaster for them financially. Just a shame.

As for me, as I've mentioned before, I'm not actually a fan of Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, and only made a point of patronizing them to support them against the boycott. Now I won't be doing that any more.

Alienating your customer base while trying to pacify those who will never accept you is both cowardly and just plain bad for business. p.s. And now I've officially hit P2K!

Insofar as what I know at present, Chick Fil A made a boneheaded move in this case.
I will make my displeasure known and give them an opportunity to explain.
I will not yet stop patronizing them, pending their explanation.

I couldn't care less about Chick-Fil-A's stupid political decisions. I go to a fast-food joint only rarely, but when I do it's for the quality of the food, and Chick-Fil-A sucks. There isn't a burger chain in the state that doesn't make a better chicken sandwich than Chick-Fil-A.

I agree there's no burger chain that makes a better chicken sand, but Popeye's makes one pretty darn close.
What's missing in the discussion here is you've got at least 5 cities that have banned CFA over their beliefs, and support of Christian charities who don't support gay marriage... Boston, Chicago, Buffalo, San Antonio and San Jose.
When you're fighting city hall too, the battle starts to get insurmountable. I wouldn't judge these guys so harshly until / unless I've walked in their moccasins.

Which made them a lot of money by improving their business & making them more popular. Then this " Bend over chicken, it's time ..." ... and the chicken bent over... Dumb

It's one thing when it's just one side or another choosing to boycott you. But when mayors of cities are not allowing you to conduct business because of it, the story changes a bit.
I have a little insight to the Cathy family, and they truly didn't want any of this stuff. They might be one of the very best corporate citizens in the country. For the right to now turn on them makes me glad I'm an independent.

I find a good writing on the matter that supports the position of the chicken restaurant.... though it's a bit unclear at this point so.... we'll have to wait and see. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ,....Question: Should we really be fighting and accusing each other for corporate decisions what charities we will support? Answer: We should never challenge anyone without having the real facts; the truth, first. At FaithIt, Brie Gowen writes: “ Dear Christians, Put Down Your Pitchforks. You’re Not Getting the Whole Story on Chick-fil-A.” Neither did we get the whole story about Salvation Army or any of the others in question. Here’s what the Salvation Army, who is high ranking among the most charitable organizations in the world, with their legacy of caring, had to say: " When misinformation is perpetuated without fact, our ability to serve those in need, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or any other factor, is at risk," the Salvation Army said. "We urge the public to seek the truth before rushing to ill-informed judgment." ... www.newsmax.com/dralvedacking/culture-war-chickfila-fake-news-trump/2019/11/22/id/942965/

I have a lot more faith in the right to pull their heads out of their collective asses on this issue than I do the left.

Here’s the deal:
-Chick Fil A has every right to change its marketing effort, which includes it’s PA efforts, which now include education and a couple other things,
-Chick Fil A has stood against the homosexual terrorists for a long time, and the STILL hold the same corporate values, just focusing them in a different direction
-Chick Fil A is a business. The homosexual terrorists have gotten that business banned in at least 6 cities, not counting airports that have rejected them
-Chick Fil A made its decision, but not capriciously.
like it or not, this most recent move is today’s reality... we should get used to it, but not roll over. Make our displeasure known, but don’t let it alter our consumption.
