As an illustration of how divided we have become in not only our politics, but in our perceptions of reality: On the one hand, most posters on this forum have chimed in that yesterday's "testimony" was a big steaming pile of nothing. It was almost all hearsay and second-hand opinions and recollections that would never be allowed in a court proceeding. And on the other hand, we have today's full-banner headline in the L.A. Times that reads, " Testimony Builds Case Against Trump". What in the world has happened to us as a rational people who see truth as truth without political shading or nuance? When political beliefs become religion, all hell breaks loose.

Once again you've made an error in logic. If I disagree that the Democratic positions of free health care for everyone, free college tuition for everyone, elimination of all student debt, a living wage for everyone and many other fantasies can be financed by taxing the rich a little more, it doesn't mean that I automatically agree with Republican positions. Since you already probably knew that, your response is just another snarky jab.
Because the purpose of a forum is for its members to contribute posts when they feel they have facts, opinions or rational conjecture to add. You do it at least a dozen times a day, and I didn't think I needed your permission to do so as well, especially since I was here long before you.

Wow...your argument has now matured to "I know you are but what am I"...nice.

No, that was not the mistake I made. My mistake was much bigger.

And again you lied. You have a very dubious relationship with the truth for someone who claims to be a Catholic...I suppose you need something to say during confession. The questions were serious, your response was not. Feel free to try again to explain why the Republicans have lost their collective minds in the last few years. You have a nasty habit of accusing people of lying without providing any support. It was my opinion that your questions were ridiculous, which seemed to be the general consensus of others here as well. I'm sorry if you can't tell the difference between the two. Feel free to try again to explain why the Republicans have lost their collective minds in the last few years.
Why you think I would want to "explain" your delusional notions is beyond me. This statement of yours is also called begging the question and deserves no response.

Ukrainian MPs: we want Trump to investigate corruption in Ukraine.
Democrats: let's impeach Trump for wanting to investigate corruption in Ukraine.

News flash. Trump is not being impeached for wanting to investigate corruption in Ukraine...but it's hilarious that you think that's the reason.

And I told you what my opinion was. Your nasty habit led to my nasty habit. See how that works?

Ukrainian MPs: we want Trump to investigate corruption in Ukraine. Democrats: let's impeach Trump for wanting to investigate corruption in Ukraine. But I thought AOC said it was because of face cream additives? Maxine Waters said it was about firing Comey. Wasn't Russian collusion part of this too?

Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi (and, now, Adam Schiff) are mentally ill.
For the life of me, I cannot figure why you Californians keep electing those frauds.

Because many of the voters who elect them share the same mental fogginess.

Because many of the voters who elect them share the same mental fogginess. And it is my understanding they get very few votes from Southern California.

Because many of the voters who elect them share the same mental fogginess. And a majority of those either don't understand English or only speak it as a second language.
