Interesting case, but not an answer to the question that was asked. Do you think it's asinine for the judge to ask for an explanation from the DoJ on the reasons for the dismissal? I think it's a perfectly reasonable request, and I think it's an important question since there seems to be a lot of opposition to the government's request. Okay, I thought I made my self pretty clear by posting precedent, but I guess not: ..."By contrast, the Judiciary, as the Supreme Court has explained, generally is not “competent to undertake” that sort of inquiry."...

Each day this Flynn story gets and will get more legs, each day I see more and more prominent primetime players saying so and exposing the truth. As much as the MSM will suppress the facts and story, as well as the far left outlets try and spin it... it's over for them, these FACTS just can't be twisted any longer. Here is anchor and long time tv presence Maria Bartiromo..,
and old favorite of the left long time journalist Geraldo Rivera...,
more brutal words aimed right at Obama and his administration......,

Well, we can't all have the deep sense of morality that you have Credo. After all, you've got jesus on your side and he really likes the "drag the dead carcasses" metaphor, that's just his style. Congrats on following his fine example. Your way of ridiculing those you disagree with and belittling your political opponents is just the sort of tolerance and understanding that jesus preached about. Well done. So I have to ask...when will you be "coming to jesus"? Another member pointed out this post to me, so I thought I would respond. I think it's particularly rich that someone who has won the Lifetime Achievement Oscar for "ridiculing those you disagree with and belittling your political opponents" on at least two forums, and who ridicules and belittles Donald Trump and Jesus Christ and their followers by childishly refusing to capitalize their names, should criticize anyone else for ridiculing and belittling. What a pathetic hypocrite.

Okay, I thought I made my self pretty clear by posting precedent, but I guess not: ..."By contrast, the Judiciary, as the Supreme Court has explained, generally is not “competent to undertake” that sort of inquiry."... Frog, save yourself the headache and don't even bother to continue to play his silly game. The reason you're frustrated and that you're still "not answering" his question is because this is now the second time in as many days that he's asking you to answer for an assertion that you never made. Here's how it goes: 1. The DOJ made a request last Thursday to dismiss the case against Michael Flynn, for which it provided a detailed 20-page explanation as part of its filing, along with 88 pages of exhibits supporting those arguments. I provided a link to this filing on this forum. 2. When the judge failed to do his legal duty this week by delaying his signing off on a dismissal that neither party in the case is objecting to, you characterized the judge's delay as asinine (which I agree with), and you even helpfully cited the relevant case law in this area. 3. VP, who has never shown that he is substantially informed on the Flynn case, beyond skimming Wikipedia or a headline from the NYT about how "he pleaded guilty," has clearly misunderstood your comment and asks you, "Do you think it's asinine for the judge to ask for an explanation from the DoJ on the reasons for the dismissal?" Of course that's not an asinine request, but that's not what you were objecting to. The judge already has an explanation from the DOJ.4. Recognizing his game (or simple misunderstanding?), I jumped in yesterday and explained that the DOJ already provided an explanation for the dismissal last week, and--again--provided a link to the DOJ filing, where VP could readily find this mysterious "explanation" that was published last week for all the world to read. 5. VP clearly did not read my post that provided him with the explanation he ostensibly thinks the judge is still looking for, which would have obviated the need to keep trying to pin you down on a point you never made in the first place. And so today we see the post above, where for the second time he's proven the adage about trying to teach a pig to sing. 6. And you're still not answering his question, of which he will no doubt remind you once again. 7. At some point his next response will be along the lines of, "Well it's not my fault you didn't understand my question." The fact that his question was based on a misreading of your original comment will be conveniently ignored. In the end nothing of substance will have actually been discussed and he will retreat into his corner more convinced that we don't know what we're talking about. If he quotes this post at all, it will be nothing more than a snarky retort to a snippet of a single sentence. The wild goose chase which I detailed here summarizes about 85% of all interactions with our Philly friend. The other 15% consists of "but Stormy Daniels!" or attacking the messanger.

How many people know that John Gleeson, the retired judge appointed yesterday by Judge Sullivan to offer an amicus in opposition to the DOJ's dismissal, co-wrote an op-ed that was published in the Washington Post on Monday that...….criticized Barr and argued against the DOJ's dismissal of the Flynn case? Oh, and he’s a former colleague of Mueller prosecutor Andrew Weissman and he’s represented Obama Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.
But I'm sure he's totally unbiased.
Like Peter Stzrok and John Brennan. And Judge Sullivan himself, who denied amicus filings 24 times previously in this case when they were in favor of Michael Flynn.
You can't even make this stuff up.

Notwithstanding the political issues in the case, there are some serious legal problems with what Judge Sullivan has done here. If he ends up charging Flynn with contempt for affirming his initial guilty plea, based on arguments presented by the Gleeson amicus, it will almost certainly be overturned by the SCOTUS. He no doubt knows this, but also knows that any decision there could stretch out well into 2021. He really doesn't want Flynn to walk free and be able to publicly tell his side of the story.

Can we dare hope that John Gleeson will remember his own legal arguments from 2013?
But he pleaded guilty! (after being bankrupted and under threat by unethical prosecutors who withheld exculpatory evidence but never mind that....)

Obama sent out the marching orders last Friday. They're not even feigning a pretense of equal justice in these political cases anymore.

TDS really does destroy those who have a contracted a sufficiently strong case, all because....Orange Man Bad. Judge Emmet G. Sullivan is the latest victim of this self-inflicted wound.

So I have to ask...when will you be "coming to jesus"? I'm so sorry that my strong rhetoric and figures of speech do not meet with your approval. In case you were unaware, Christianity is not somehow exempt from the duty to point out--sometimes harshly--when those in authority abuse their power through rank hypocrisy and injustice. In fact, Christians have an affirmative duty to do just that. Our Lord himself referred to the scribes and Pharisees as a "brood of vipers" and "whited sepulchers," and drove the money-changers from the Temple with a whip of chords. Since you asked, I "came to Jesus" in 1994. You might want to give it a try. I know he will welcome you with open arms. As a fellow sinner among the sons of Adam, I will pray for that. Besides attacking the messenger, do you actually have a point to make regarding the topic of this thread? I thought not.

Trigger warning: harsh unJesus-like words to follow....
Like I said, there is no principle the Left will not blow up in the effort to damage Trump. They already trampled on the presumption of innocence in the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh; now Emmet Sullivan is undermining the important protections afforded victims of government misconduct. Because Orange Man Bad.

So you respond with yet another attempt at character assassination. Great way to show I'm right about you. You have nothing but cheap personal attacks. Carry on.
