Lot's of interesting data in the most recent comprehensive Gallup survey, but the top-line takeaway has been consistent for decades, regardless of who controls the White House or Congress. We are a center-right nation, despite the best efforts of he media to influence or portray otherwise.
Another takeway that most here could attest to is that since the 1990's, while Republicans and Independents have remained fairly consistent in their political ideology, Democrats have became markedly more liberal during that same time frame. Again, the mainstream media would have us believe the exact opposite is the case.
Read the whole thing--it's pretty interesting.

America is more conservative than the MSM would like to admit, hence the misnomer that the country is "center-right". That term is an incorrect description
The majority of people in our country are in the center, with near equal amounts to the left & right of that. However, the MSM doesn't like the political viewpoints of the center, so they label those viewpoints as being to the right. By artificially skewing the scale to the right, they can then claim that left leaning views are actually centrist. Further, right leaning views are then called "far right extremists" while true extremists on the left are classified as "left leaning".
To call the country "center/right" is to buy into their BS.

I am a 100% conservative and have been for years. Sadly, conservatism is on the decline as it is difficult to refuse the "Free" everything that the left is selling. As the number of poor grows so does the temptation to buy into the "Free" that the far left is selling.
I fear ultimately the "Free" everything will win. How very sad.

ONLY until reality pays a visit. Those handing out "free stuff" don't have an infinite supply . . . Then what ? Lot of mad people who realize they were lied to about free stuff & a lot of people who lied & broke promises . .. .

I'm more optimistic than what you've proffered here, mainly because of social media. There seems to be more and more people discussing the issues in places like Twitter, FB, and boards like this one. In the past, most of the conversation was unilaterally directed by the mainstream media. It feels different today. Sometimes it feels worse when some of the more galling issues are gaining steam. But I'm finding myself directionally more optimistic knowing there's more like minded guys like you out there who are no longer remaining silent.

We can talk all we want about social media allowing conservatives to continue to exist and "spread" their views, but we are like The Resistance fighting against the Galactic Empire. With public education cranking out liberals by the tens of millions, and mainstream media ensuring they remain that way, we're trying to hold back a tidal wave of "progressive" storm troopers. I still believe the most likely outcome is that conservatism eventually becomes a niche group of cranky old people with long memories. Secondly, I've always believed that the vast majority of rich people didn't become rich by being stupid. They are rich because they're smart and intuitive. Furthermore, they have the wherewithal to retain the brightest accountants and attorneys in the country. If liberalism becomes the legislative majority in this country, and they try to fund all their "free for everyone" promises by taxing the rich significantly more, why would not the rich just move themselves and/or their wealth and income off-shore. There are many beautiful places in the world to live besides America. Then, when all the geese that lay the golden eggs have migrated elsewhere, how does liberalism fund its bullshit ideas?

Seems that is what we are seeing start now. The answer to your question of “how?” is the socialistic BS being pushed, where the government owns it all, doles it out to “the deserving” and true motivation to innovate and produce goes the way of the T-Rex.

Have faith.

Well, three out of 300 million is a start, but it's a tiny one. Kirk, Owens and Ngo are like Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron facing off against the First Order. They're way overmatched in numbers and firepower. What we need is a small army of Jedis, and I don't see where that will come from. And to be perfectly honest, there are rare moments when Candace Owens sounds frighteningly like a conservative AOC.

For a long time, my question in all this has been, “what will it take to get conservatives up off their asses and either work to help hold back the flood, or (gasp) just vote these morons out?” how many decades have we read the headlines about meager voter turn out, or a good idea defeated by a dozen votes... or here in Central Illinois, whacked out Chicago liberal transplants are moving in and getting elected to local positions by fewer than 200 votes... in largely conservative precincts or wards. how long will we sit idly by, watching the cows leave the barn before we get up and close the gate?

I think it's a matter of conservatives being a minority that the education and media machines ensure will get smaller every year.

I think it's a matter of conservatives being a minority that the education and media machines ensure will get smaller every year. It's easy to think that. It's what they ( the education and media machines ) want everyone to think. They're on TV and everywhere else every day, loudly proclaiming how " everyone agrees with" them & it's ludicrous to think otherwise. But none of it is true. There is a significant number of people rejecting the garbage the " education" establishment is selling. There's a significant number of people rejecting the garbage the "media" sells. Do we honestly think these education & media people are willing to be honest about this and the reasons behind it ? The best we MIGHT get from them is something ridiculing a " few back-woodsy hayseed fools with no education" who "cling to their God, guns and Bible."People can't & aren't missing the dishonestly.

Of course there are. One would have to be a fool to deny it. But those education and media establishments continue to crank out liberal automatons by the tens of millions, and it seems to me only a matter of time before they become the balance of power, if indeed they aren't already.

I think we (center-right) have actually done a great job exposing the liberal media. Fewer and fewer people are believing every word those liberal outlets are putting out. Every time we expose an instance of biased reporting, and show the people how they have been lied to (especially for the last three years), we benefit.
The educational system, is much more worrisome to me. Perhaps our best hope there lies in the exact same place. As these liberal zombies are graduating from these indoctrination camps we call universities, they are very interested in current affairs, and that means they too, are witness to how the liberal press is being exposed as biased and outright liars.
I don't know what we can do to get to them during their "education," but I do think the point of attack should be the first few years after they graduate. It is at that point that they are exposed to the fact that things aren't quite the way they were led to believe they are.
