We can post any published materials from any source so long as
1. We are not doing so for financial gain and 2. We cite and link to (which is a sufficient citation) the original.
Now, understand, I am not an attorney, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night.

Does that mean that it's not set up to earn you some money, or just that it hasn't happened yet? Haven't really given it any thought to evaluate if it is or would. If it means having to actually moderate, or have to conform to "rules", I'd probably pass anyway.

I always COPY the HEADLINE, LINK, AUTHOR, DATE and if I use a photo the PHOTO CREDIT when posting, I've been a bit sloppy here be cuz Bick says nothing. JQP banned/Suspended me on his board for doing so. JQP was pissed that you would hit a LINK and LEAVE his site. The sites are actually happy as they make money on hits.....

In evaluating many of the contributors to this and other sites, not to mention the various media or "news" outlets, it seems clear we are often very hard pressed to consider our biases when considering our takes on the various subjects proffered here...... Subjectivity seems very hard to come by these days, Bick. I like to collect quotes and one of my favorites is " With knowledge, doubt grows." (I once added a corollary to that "…… and you seem very sure of yourself." But I digress) The more you listen, learn and think you tend to become less certain of your previous conclusions, or at least more understanding of opposing ones. There is little variety of political opinion on this board. Though it’s not as monochromatic as TOB, where it reaches comic levels at times. I was curious what the reaction was to the recent Senate vote which effectively will end the impeachment proceedings. They invested so much emotion and effort in the whole process on that board over the last 2 years, starting with “Russian collusion” then “obstruction of justice” into the collusion-that-never-occurred, and now the purported “quid pro quo” that no one actually heard. Their reaction is that the Republican party is justifying criminal activity, that Trump supporters are invariably drones and rubes when they’re not merely evil. Jesus. These are people who actually vote. But is it not strange that vast majority of liberals ("progressives" if you will. I’ve never quite understood the modern day distinction) believe Trump is guilty of a crime while, looking at the same evidence, the majority of conservatives feel he is not? The majority of liberals seems to believe that there is an ominous climate risk if not pending catastrophe, while the majority of conservatives looking at the same evidence are skeptical. Biases are obviously directing conclusions. I’m tired of ideologists and their predictable, ossified opinions to the point that I don’t bother discussing controversial issues much anymore. After 50+ years I'm not much interested in high school football -such as it is - any longer. Actually, I don’t have much to say because I already know what I'm going to hear……………………………………….Luca

Wasting time probably to point out that if these supposed " crimes" Trump is guilty of were done by Barack Obama or Hilary or Bill Clinton, none of this would even be occurring. The fact is that Trump IS the "crime" to these people. Any & everything he does is a crime and there will be found ways to frame it as such. The majority of liberals seems to believe that there is an ominous climate risk if not pending catastrophe, while the majority of conservatives looking at the same evidence are skeptical. Actually, I don’t have much to say because I already know what I'm going to hear……………………………………….Luca Liberals believe that climate change is caused by humans because it has been a long-time indoctrination process. I remember and was subjected to it myself - went to college. I remember reading an article in OMNI Magazine in the late 80's or early 90's talking about how CO2 causes warming etc etc. People get older and educated in real life, & usually change - I did. I know what you're saying though.
