Can't blame this one on mandatory celibacy, as many like to incorrectly point to as the cause of abuse scandals in the Catholic Church.
I wonder what the common thread is between these two situations.......?

I wonder how much adding girls to the Boy Scouts had to do with this. Zero. It wasn't girls who were abused. And the abusers weren't women. Which only leaves one possibility. The Left destroys everything it touches. |

Pedophiles will always be attracted to positions that give them authority over young children - religious leader, teacher, boy scout leader, etc. When positions like that exist, those who fill them and manage them need to by hyper attentive to the actions of those in those positions.
Further, punishment for pedophilia needs to be swift, harsh & permanent. A pedophile is never "cured", they are just set loose on society after possibly serving some time. The only true solutions are either the death penalty or the creation of a penal colony named Pedophile Isle.
