Did anyone else get their 2020 census instructions in the mail yesterday, because I did, and I found a couple things puzzling.
(1) You can go online and complete the census questionnaire in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Tagalog, Polish, French, Portuguese, Japanese or Haitian Creole...but not German. WTF is that? Are there really more Haitian Creoles in this country than Germans? We never should have given you guys the bomb.
(2) You're assigned a twelve digit Census ID to use when you go online, XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Oddly, my last four digits were UY2K. WTF? Why am I Y2K? Wasn't that hysteria 20 years ago?
(3) And finally, in the ethnicity section, if you check the box for "White", you're asked to list your specific ethnicity, e.g. German, French, etc. I put down "Aryan". I wonder if the census folks are going to come to my house and kick my ass.
