Anyone with good Latin skills here? Question pertains to some of the old military orders and the Servite order, with regard to a possible variant in pronunciation. I know “Servite” is already in a Latin form, but that is where my Latin knowledge stops. The Templars (Knights Templar) and the Hospitallers (Knights Hospitaller) were two of the most well know religious, military orders throughout history. If, hypothetically, the Servite order had also been a military order, would its name have had a similar ending to the two above mentioned military orders? Would they simply have been called the Knights Servite, Knights Serviter, or Serviters?

I don't know Latin, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once. And I think the Knights Serviter tried to cover up the fact that Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus Christ...until they were disbanded by Emperor Palpatine.
