I feel the "progressives" are all in at this point, with Bernie and now Lizzie in the limelight, the rise of "The Squad", actions of Antifa, it is the closest they have come. I have always had respect for Bernie unlike Lizzie as he has been true and upfront with his socialist ideas. I respectfully disagree with him on most issues. I honestly wanted him to get the nomination as I felt it was time on the national stage to have the debate Socialism vs Capitalism. Sanders vs Trump. We needed that to happen as a society. I believe in America "capitalism" would win that debate, especially with Trump and his pre-covid19 record. It would have been a TKO in round 1 or if it went another a KO in round 2.
So looking where we stand now, it may be just so with this economy teetering all over the place, the socialist students and youth will really be clamoring for "free" this and "free" that ideas, dismiss student debt and UBI checks. The literally have nothing right now, no campuses, no jobs, little chance for income..... and where does their hope lie now? JOE BIDEN? A man with little ideas, little understanding of todays youth, an old white lifelong bureaucrat that these leftists kids rail against.
So yes P. Fate, B, B, Buh Bernie and Libs and Bros are shopping elsewhere.

I understand they are bailing at the moment, but they’ll be back. Disappointment is a thing, especially with these snowflakes. When they get to the actual ballot, their safe space will win out and they’ll vote Biden, you can count on it.

I don’t disagree, necessarily... except that was then, this is now. bear in mind the democrats are running a woefully out of touch candidate and, at least on the surface, are content to let him lulll the republicans into a false security that Trump will easily win. bear in mind, as I said earlier, the ONLY hope they have of prevailing is to cheat or trick everyone (and I suspect both). They were resoundingly burned by Trumps victory in 2016... wouldn’t it be just like them to plan just such a surprise this time?

I still have a suspicion that the Democratic Party leadership will find some arcane rule to deny Joe Biden the nomination and run somebody else. The problem with that is if you want to cheat at poker, it helps to have a couple aces up your sleeve, and all the Democrats have is a bunch of deuces. If Biden is dumped, who is going to get the steering wheel to the race car? Bernie Sanders? Liz Warren? Hillary Clinton? Andrew Cuomo? Gavin Newsom? Michelle Obama? They have no decent cards to play, so their only prayer is to keep people terrified and financially ruined until Nov. 3.

That could well be the trickery they’re planning, but it doesn’t even have to be an arcane rule... they just have to make sure the first ballot shows no clear winner. That brokers the convention and all delegates are released from their commitment. However, the primary process is a party thing, not a Constitutional thing: If they can keep this “pandemic” going long enough, they could conceivably just change the rules “because not enough states got to weigh in” (or some such excuse)...
