I watch Shark Tank every week, but I guess I'm done with that now.  How does it feel to get YOUR ass canceled, Mark?

.........And Cuban wisely folds, recognizing a battle he cannot win. But not before he releases this tearjerker of a justification:

"We respect and always have respected the passion people have for the anthem and our country. I have always stood for the anthem with the hand over my heart — no matter where I hear it played. But we also hear the voices of those who do not feel the anthem represents them. We feel they also need to be respected and heard, because they have not been heard. (Uh...What?) The hope is that those who feel passionate about the anthem being played will be just as passionate in listening to those who do not feel it represents them." (Because, after all, that's why we watch basketball games.)

This is the typical nonsensical, pseudo-intellectual gibberish that passes for depth and appears to convey heartfelt conviction, so much so that you almost forget that it is jibberish. If you tried to rephrase that pretentious soliloquy in concrete terms you'd realize that it's nothing but vapidity, laden with emotion.

I hadn't thought of this in years, but It reminds me of that godawful lyric from the Disney movie "Pocahontas":

"Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?"

Initially you're tempted to think "Whoa, that's deep", then you realize "Wait. What the f#!* is that supposed to actually mean?"..............................Luca

So the only way to respect those whom the anthem does not represent is to flip the bird to those whom it does?  OK, makes perfect sense now.

The sense of entitlement is nauseating. I don't like your traditions, so YOU change.

I can do whatever I FEEL, regardless of where I am, or who is is impacted. When in Rome, I can act like it's Berlin.

Damn, if that doesn't sound familiar.

I guess all your bleating about the "cancel culture" really didn't mean much.

That tradition has been in place for some time.

Now some are offended and want it changed along with the names of a number of teams that have been around for decades.

It doesn't matter to the group who now claims to be offended, that it is offensive to the majority to have it changed.

Apparently Ivy Leaguers are now infiltrating the "WHITE" sport of rock climbing and enabling those whom ascend granite mountains to become a bit more "WOK" in doing so... (we must be living in a sitcom).
