If they are truly autonomous, that means they have no claim to our military help. If another group, such as Hells Angels or any other well armed bunch of folks, want to declare war on them and attack, the US would have no obligation to help them with their defense.
I'm surprised some "right wing militia" hasn't decided that these six blocks are now going to belong to them. Would the governor or mayor be so empathetic if it was a group like that who took over the zone and booted CHAZ out on their ass?

If he goes in with the National Guard, he looks like a bully and WHEN (not “if”) shits are fired (which I believe the miscreants have been counseled to start), he will be blamed for gunning down a bunch of children. ”worse tragedy than Kent State...” is the headline I’d expect. |

I thought this was fake news when I first heard it. Apparently, they have something on the calendar. They SAY, in the badly misspelled and grammatically egregious Details, they intend to only take down the barriers and return the Precinct back over to the Police Department... but we know the children do have weapons and we are aware they have already killed at least one with those weapons, so I’d be prepared for anything if I was them...  |

Mayor Durkan has rattled her saber since that kid was killed but, so far, no action. whether she takes action, Trump sends in the National Guard, or Hell’s Angels roll in, the children holding CHOP still have their guns. so, stand by for body counts... |
