On the other hand, now that Kamala Harris has been named the VP choice, here's a nightmare scenario that is absolutely not outside the realm of possibility:
(1) Donald Trump continues to step on his johnson several times a week and manages to blow the election. (2) With Trump's defeat, Democrats retain control of the House of Representatives and Nancy Pelosi remains Speaker. (3) With Harris' Senate seat vacated, Gavin Newsom fills the opening by appointing a left-wing nutjob like Attorney General Xavier Becerra (or maybe himself!) to her seat. (4) Ruth Bader Ginsburg retires, and Joe Biden nominates Kamala Harris to fill her Supreme Court seat. (5) Before filling the Vice President spot, Biden retires for "health reasons" and Nanch Pelosi becomes President.

Yes to all of it, but with an addendum to #5: After putting Butch on SCOTUS, and before retiring for “health” reasons, he brings Hillary on as VP.

It’s obvious to me he picked someone to take the stage as he can’t, Rice is probably smarter but as dull as a butter knife. That duo would have no enthusiasm.. but it seems like a horrible strategic move picking a Californian in which you already have the 55 electoral seats. This also gives Trump the California card as it’s a mess under such leadership and the entire nation looks at the state as a bunch of nuts.
This woman as well could hardly register a vote in the primary... that certainly does not bode well. The only thing here is the obvious, what liberals have been running on now as their chosen m/o..., identity politics.

The left likes to portray Harris as a strong woman. If she is so strong, why did she have to resort to dating a man 30 years her senior (Willie Brown) in order to start her political career? I'm guessing the response will be "because its a mans world", to which I would ask "Are you suggesting that every female member of Congress started her political career by sleeping with someone to get a political appointment"? They can't have it both ways.
There is also some blow back from the African-American community. Harris is of Jamaican (father) & Indian (mother) descent, her parents being immigrants to the country. Kamala calls herself black based on her fathers heritage and how her mother spent a few years working in the black community during the civil rights era. It seems like many African Americans, especially those whose heritage is traced back to slavery in the US, discount her claim to being black. Yes, Jamaicans originally came from Africa like American blacks, but the experience of African Jamaicans was very different than that of African Americans. Many see her as a Rachel Dolezal or Elizabeth Warren, trying to use a racial minority as a costume in order to further her career. I'm not saying that is what she is doing, rather that that is how it is being interpreted by a good percentage of the black community. Considering Joe's multiple gaffes that border on racism, it doesn't look like choosing someone who is gaining a reputation as misstating her ethnicity was a wise choice.
The Media is hyping up the "first black woman" byline, have they completely forgotten about her Asian heritage?

They started race-pandering almost 20 years ago when they got a tingle running up their leg over America’s first “black” president who was actually only bi-racial.

You omitted the fact that Willie Brown was a married man while Kamala Harris was sleeping with him. Yes, the woman who is all about empowering women screwed around behind another woman's back with a guy more than old enough to be her farther, and for nothing more than a career boost. And now that she no longer needs him, she's thrown him under the bus like a worn-out sock.

Not to defend Willie Brown, but he & his wife were estranged at the time. Everyone knew who he was dating because it was out in the open, not behind his wife's back.
You are correct though, as soon as she got what she wanted, she threw him under the bus. It was one of those gross affairs where both parties were using the other.

I could have put this under many thread topics, media bias for sure but I think it fits here currently. Interesting read and perspective on what happened to Sarah Palin as a Conservative woman being chosen as a VP and how she was literally destroyed daily by an onslaught of media madness. Watch how this will be the opposite now with Harris, think there will be any vetting? Isn't that the job of the media to aid the American people in honest investigative journalism? This article lays out the horror Palin was subjected to including her family. It also ends on how transparent this will seem when the press showers Harris with praise and accomplishment. The media again will paint itself into a corner, once again wearing a dunce hat that says "Biased & Dishonest". The Ghost Of Sarah Palin Will Haunt The Media This Election Cycle In an effort to blunt all criticism of Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris, we’re about to see a deluge of transparently insincere sympathy for Sarah Palin. thefederalist.com/2020/08/12/the-ghost-of-sarah-palin-will-haunt-the-media-this-election-cycle/
snip~I say all this as a prelude to what we are about to witness. In the coming months, a phalanx of mainstream media outlets and leftist women’s groups will be deployed to defend Sen. Kamala Harris, Joe Biden’s vice-presidential pick, by labeling any and all criticism of her as sexist and possibly racist. (It remains unclear what we’re to make of Harris’s own charges against Biden of racism and sexism—and sexual assault—in the primaries earlier this year.)
We’re going to hear a lot of that sort thing this election cycle. Because the double standard that’s about to be applied to Harris is so appallingly obvious even to corporate media, we’re also going to hear a lot of retroactive and transparently insincere sympathy for Palin.
But lies and distortions of Palin’s views were mild compared to what came next. At the outset of his 2009 book, “The Persecution of Sarah Palin,” Matthew Continetti runs down a partial list of the kind of crude insults routinely hurled at Palin during and after the election cycle:
She has been called a..., (mind you this is from the media's journalists not anonymous Twitter heads and message board morons) ‘freak show,’ a ‘joke,’ an ‘extreme liability,’ a ‘turncoat b*tch,’ an ‘insult,’ a ‘fire-breather,’ ‘xenophobic,’ a ‘sitcom of a vice-presidential choice,’ a ‘disaster movie,’ a ‘shallow’ person, ‘chirpy,’ a ‘provincial,’ a ‘disgrace to women’ who was ‘as fake as they come,’ a ‘nauseating,’ ‘cocky wacko,’ a ‘jack in the box,’ ‘Napoleon in bunny boots,’ ‘extreme,’ ‘radical,’ a ‘vessel,’ a ‘farce,’ ‘Bush in drag,’ ‘not very bright,’ ‘utterly unqualified,’ a ‘bimbo,’ ‘Danielle Quayle,’ the ‘new spokesperson for bellicosity and confrontation,’ a ‘fatal cancer,’ ‘like a really bad Disney movie,’ ‘laughable,’ an ‘odd combination of Chauncey Gardiner from Being There and Marge from Fargo,’ ‘dangerous,’ a ‘bully,’ the ‘biggest demagogue in America,’ the ‘Paleolithic Princess of Parsimonious Patriotism,’ the ‘anti-Wonder Woman,’ ‘judgmental’… ‘dictatorial’ with a ‘superior religious self-righteousness,’ a ‘racist’ who was ‘absurd,’ ‘scary,’ and a ‘token,’ a ‘bantamweight cheerleader,’ an ‘airhead,’ an ‘idiot,’ a ‘librarian in a porn film,’ a ‘Jesus freak,’ a ‘man with a vagina’… a ‘Drama Queen,’ a ‘Republican blow-up doll’ who ‘ideologically’ is ‘their hardcore pornographic centerfold spread,’ an ‘opportunistic anti-female,’ a ‘true Stepford candidate, a cyborg,’ a ‘quitter,’ and—this list is by no means exhaustive—a ‘bonbon.’

Has anyone been able to find the video of Kamala accusing Biden of being a racist? All I’ve seen is the debate where she says “I don’t think you’re a racist, but...”
Asking for a friend.

Apparently in reference to her affair with Willie Brown, "Heels Up Harris" is already exploding on social media.
