Well I did it, I beat back Proposition 19 and completed the Parent-Child transfer on my family home in CDM. In what obviously was a year (2020) in which most everything could have or did go wrong, the passing (barely) of Prop 19 was the coup de grace that almost had me jump off the Newport Pier on a stormy eve. (Our version of a Wall Street Broker jumping from an office window).
Yesterday I celebrated a victory in Santa Ana, (Not @ MD) Orange County Clerk-Recorder and Orange County Assessor's Office. I have been an outspoken critic of Prop 19 and all the one sided propaganda the public was fed. Many, and what I believe will be most, will wake up to this in the coming years. What a mad scramble I have witnessed and experienced over the past few months as the February 16th deadline approaches. When will we ever get fair and honest (elections) propositions? The advocates and backers of Prop 19 out spent the opposition 50 MILLION to 1. The money grabbers in Sacramento, the Realtors Association of California and the unions that represent the firefighters. Politicians at the top, Realtors and Unions.
Yesterday I felt like David vs Goliath. Or a modern day Howard Jarvis!
