Too much politics gets me surly...
All work no play makes Bick a dull boy All work no play makes Bick a dull boy All work no play makes Bick a dull boy
Anyone care to hazard a guess on the movie reference? Free pizza to the first correct answer. (you can ask Prof if I'm good for it)

So, since you broke the ice on this topic, let’s go down the road.
What is ONE movie you’ve seen over a dozen times and STILL enjoy watching it?
I’d say Hoosiers But I used that one to teach Leadership for my employer so I have literally seen it all the way through over 300 times.(although I do still enjoy it)
So I’m going with Shawshank Redemption.
How about you.

The barbershop scene in the beginning of Hoosiers was classic. I'm sure every coach would love to be part of that.
We Were Soldiers - chapel scene. Lord... look over our boys like Gohagen here. And about our enemies, ignore their heathen prayers...

Easy question Dave. The Great Race, of course. Seen it at least 20 times, and I have the DVD, and I have the Soundtrack on Vinyl.

Shawshank is pretty good. I have at times used Chariots of Fire and Alfred Hitchcock's I Confess in my classes, so maybe that doesn't count. Don't know if I've seen anything else quite a dozen times, but some of my favorites: - Field of Dreams
- Glengarry Glen Ross
- The Natural
- Shane
- Becket

Screw Ty Cobb Coffee is for closers Best damn hitter I ever saw
Don't have any for the other 2
Al Pacino going off on Kevin Spacey was pure gold. Probably a candidate the least "feel good" movie.

And about our enemies, ignore their heathen prayers... When I used Hoosiers to teach Leadership, we would stop the film several times to discuss and do activities around the Leadership behaviors Norman Dale (Gene Hackman) displayed in a given segment. The Barbershop scene was always a big discussion around “does a leader categorically reject advice and insight?” my opinion is, Coach could have handled that better. He was an experienced coach, he knew his plan and, realistically, he didn’t need all these arm-chair coaches telling him what’s what. But, his would have been a smoother transition had he not irritated those good ol’ boys. There was a time I could quote the entire movie to you.

I assume you're a man with great moral fiber that will set a fine example for these young men. Now tell me...do you believe in zone or man to man defense?

“You're playing Cedar Knob tomorrow. Ain't nobody knows 'em better than me.
Now, I been watchin' how you been breakin' the colts. But, my friend, you cannot play them all the way man-on-man. They got no head toppers. Cedar Knob? A bunch of mites. Run you off the boards.
You got to squeeze 'em back in the paint. Make 'em chuck it from the cheap seats. Watch that purgatory they call a gym. No drive, 12 foot in.
That'll do.”
