Joe Biden has been raked over the coals for saying yesterday that the inflation rate for this July was "zero". Unfortunately, what he said may be true, and indeed is not all that rare.
Assume the CPI for June 2021 was 100.0, then assume that the CPI for June 2022 was 109.1. That is the year-over-year inflation rate of 9.1% that had been reported last month. Then assume the July 2021 CPI rose to 100.6. It's entirely possible that the 10% to 15% decrease in gasoline prices in July were enough to offset price increases in other commodities in the index, and the CPI for July 2022 may have remained at 109.1. That means (a) that the year-over-year inflation rate drops to 8.5%, while the price increase in July alone is zero.
The problem is that NOBODY EVER reports the price increase for a single month. It was a blatant attempt by a stupid president to make things look better, and it just made him look like more of an idiot. However, it may also be true.

Sometimes they include fuel and sometimes not (Core inflation), depending on the way they measure it. Gas prices have fallen. There are several indices too. Perhaps he doesn't like that definition right now.

I'm sure Biden's "fact seekers" used the index in which falling gasoline prices had the greatest impact. Democrats are insidious, but they're not stupid...well, except for the leader of the party...and his V.P....and the House Speaker... and a bunch of others. But not the people who pull the puppet strings.

Oh, the corruption in the Democrat party... and I used to think the Republicans were bad. As per your comment MDDad, I think Kamala has always been stupid. Biden used to have a relatively normal IQ, maybe a little below 100. Nancy - she is just evil and weaves a web that no one can figure out.

I want to say, about 2005 the democratic party was taken over by the socialist democrats. A group known as "The Black Socialist Democrats" and their leader, Obama dominated the party, and utilized most of a tactical war engagement called "_______ lives Matters, Bomb the Rioting Protesters" and renamed his group from one of the group names in that scenario as "Black Lives Matters". The other socialist group that helped them took over the democratic party, "The White Socialist Marxist" infiltrated the Republican and Independent parties, as well as create an online propagandist group called QANON. Trump is their leader.
Guess what? Yes all those elections are rigged, but they don't rig it by the votes. They rig it by having candidates running in all parties for the same position. That away it doesn't matter of the election outcome, the corporate agendas continue without interruption.

Did anybody else see President Binden's speech last night as a threat? I have never seen anything like it before. This was not a campaign event it was address to the nation.

Bob, the Democrat leaders are constantly accusing the other side as they commit the acts themselves. Last night he said the Republicans are a threat to Democracy. That statement epitomized what is happening. But like in the past, the roles are reversed.
Tarmac, the whole even was surreal. The President is on-target for extinguishing our Republic. They know not what they do...
