I like Vernon Jones but is this really a "hateful" speech? No one thought so at the time. It seems to me Joe was more correct than incorrect on this issue back in 1993. This was actually a mainstream position in both parties at the time--which is why the Crime Bill passed.

The Brits certainly have their problems but the fact that politician at the highest level actually resign under pressure is a good thing.

Maybe that's the difference between a prime minister who recognizes that she's a failure, and a president who no longer has the mental ability to do that. Some of the things he's said recently are so patently absurd that no sentient being would utter them. You have to wonder how much cognition he has left. I sometimes think he must sometimes get up from the toilet after doing his business and being confused by what he sees floating in it. I know lots of people here hate the guy, but I can't help but feel anything but sorry for him. |

Great posts Credo. There is a lot there.
The first one illustrates how the party of slavery is a party of racists. The Republicans fought hard during the civil war to end slavery. The Democrats have their roots in hate, racism, and slavery. That is just the way it it.
The second illustrates the differences between a parliamentary form of government and ours. We have an executive branch. If Congress losses confidence in the President, Oh well. He isn't force to resign. In that regard, they have an advantage.
Also, I bet she made some mistakes with respect to the economy, but boy our top dog is the winner. His war on oil will have long-term consequences. It will take time to recover.

Yes I think he's (almost) completely demented. And yes I think he's a pathological liar, because he was the same way when he was much younger and sharper. But at this point, I think he's also just a reader who reads whatever is put in front of his face.

I heard a newsclip this morning that was one of the most unbelievable political utterances I've ever heard. Republicans have been bombarding Joe Biden almost every day since he took office two years ago regarding the catastrophe at our southern border, and the response from Biden and the Democrats has always been the same -- that everything is fine and under control . Yesterday, Biden said that he will visit the southern border in the next several days, and that he hopes to gather enough evidence to convince Republicans that we have a problem there that we need to solve. Even allowing for the fact that he is now sem-vegetative, Biden is the most shameless piece of political shit I can remember in my lifetime.

Over the past two years, under Biden, millions and millions of illegal aliens from 160 different countries have stormed across our southern border.
