I have no concrete reasons for feeling this way, and I can't explain it, but I have this strong vibe that I've already had the virus.

Soft boiled , fried eggs over corned beef hash, scrambled with salsa, scrambled with cheddar, hard boiled, poached on toast, etc., etc. Lately though, while they still taste good to me...they no longer taste great. It's as if they can't live up to my memories of them. I understand that loss of taste and smell is a symptom of the China virus. So maybe I have already had it.

I might be required to get one pretty soon. So if you don't hear from me again you might want to wait a little while on that vaccine.............Luca Good enough. I suppose it wasn't really a fair question by me, and more like a statement that this vaccine was rushed, and not particularly safe. On another note, will you also get your star once vaccinated?

I absolutely agree, Luca, but there are also steps in the testing protocol that have been skipped. For example, my daughter-in-law is a surgical nurse and will be an early candidate for vaccination. However, she's also three months pregnant, and the vaccine has not been tested on pregnant women. So what is she supposed to do? That's a good question and I'd probably try to avoid the vaccine if I were her. I'm willing to take chances with my own health but not with somebody else's. I'm not aware of any vaccines (other than live vaccines) that are a particular risk in pregnancy but nonetheless I'd probably want to avoid it. I'm not sure I understand your question, Bick, but if you're asking what are the chances that this vaccine will have no side effects, the answer is probably zero. It's bound to affect some people adversely. Maybe not significant reactions but, my God, 10% or more people report side effects with placebos. If you're asking what are the chances it will be a "deadly" vaccine, I'd say pretty close to zero also, given the testing that has already been done. I might be required to get one pretty soon. So if you don't hear from me again you might want to wait a little while on that vaccine.............Luca So Luca, what's your opinion of all the "anti-vacc" talk you see on this board?

To me an anti-vaxer (how do you spell that?) is somebody who is opposed to all vaccinations. If somebody has taken that approach on the board I haven't seen it. Granted I don't read all the posts so maybe there have been comments like that, but it's a foolish position.
It's not unreasonable to be a little reluctant about the COVID-19 vaccine, since not only is it a new and incompletely tested (by FDA standards) vaccine that uses a novel way of triggering immunity, but also because in fact the large majority of people who get Covid don't get very ill. Some people probably think the potential unknown risks don't outweigh the potential benefits. That would be especially true for the pediatric age group and healthy young people.
I don't feel that way and I'm not concerned about the vaccine. Of course, I'm not all that concerned about Covid either, personally, but I do believe most of us should get the vaccine........................Luca

With me, it is not a matter of fear (of the virus OR the vaccine). But I am stubbornly opposed to being forced to take it, and that includes being forced to wear a remake of the Star of David if I don’t.

We shouldn't prioritize the most vulnerable population--the elderly--because they're "too white." Anyone advocating this kind of thinking needs to be shamed out of decent society.

For months we've been told that anyone who died while they had the virus died from the virus. Now I guess anyone who dies after getting vaccinated died from the vaccine. The poor guy was 86 years old. How much farther can this mass insanity go?

The poor guy was 86 years old. How much farther can this mass insanity go? Here's the thing, there has been a higher than usual number of allergic reactions to this vaccine. Unlike the litany of potential side effects any advertised drug has to ramble off, I haven't seen any being mentioned by those promoting this vaccine. There's no mention of the fact it hasn't been properly tested per FDA protocols.

Would be horrible if Hank went out this way..., via vaccine. Not good PR for Moderna if this is ever tied together...

But it's wrong to kneejerk to the belief that anyone who dies after being vaccinated died from the vaccine.

I agree. I don't think we should run around spasticly and scream the sky is falling. But at the same time, I wholeheartedly think at least the normal precautions are being made aware along with the fact this is pretty much an experimental vaccine.
Funny how non approved treatment of FDA approved drugs was denied in many states, yet mass vaccinationa of this are being encouraged.
