I love the quote from Henderson at the end. “I build champions and win championships”
This guy will not be unemployed for long.

Just look at JSerra a few years back, big daddy warlock money pumped in from families, in SIX FIGURE sums. When the money dries up so does the shill of a program or school shilling a bought team. Don't get me started, both Grace and Sierra Canyon thwarted CDM CIF Championships with bought teams in recent years. Paying back Grace in 2019 was sweet justice. Had you attended these games, how on earth could a school with 400 students put teams like GB and SC on a field and play at that level? So you can see how fragile this is, how POOF it can go, there is no long term loyalty to these schools, the best players can simply land somewhere else....

St Bonaventure had only 600 kids in their heyday-50% girls. It took a change in admin to kill that one off. That one was sustainable-Bonnie was everyone's 2nd favorite team in western Ventura County-very much a regional fanbase. Can recover with right support.
JSerra is in a much better place long term than Grace. They will be back. Other sports programs are high-level.

JSerra became very good at football for only one reason -- one wealthy football dad who paid for as many as 40 kids in the program, as well as stipends to a successful youth coach for every stud freshman-to-be that he convinced to attend the school. He's gone now, and it will be a long, difficult road for that small school to ever rise to that level again.

Admin/board won't stand for them losing big to MD/SJB/Servite and particularly SM. Might take time (and I suspect Harlow won't be back as coach)-but with the right hire and funding it can and will be done. They are competitive at every other sport there, and baseball/girls soccer (and now boys soccer) in particular are among the best programs in CIF. Might Henderson end up at JSerra? Remember-there are only 6 coaching spots in the toughest league in USA HSFB.

There's too many families invested in youth sports in that area for JSerra to remain this far down in football. As much as I disliked the Caden Bell transfer down there in 2018, which was the domino that led to the exodus of our best talent shortly thereafter, I honestly hated to see them lose to us in such a lopsided way Friday night. I'd much prefer a Trinity League where every game was competitive.

A competitive, exciting game. CalPreps is predicting OLu by 1...28-27.
