The Nobel Peace Prize became a farce when it got awarded to Barack Obama. Unfortunately, under the heading of "unforeseen consequences," that award enabled him to nominate subsequent candidates.
I do not know if he was the nominator, but the prize is now completely unhinged from reality because The Black Lives Matter movement has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. although CNN says they were/it was nominated by Norwegian MP Petter Eide:
