It still cracks me up when rich celebrities and politicians insist "the rich need to pay their fair share". Somehow I doubt they will be the first in line to give away all the money they've made. Nancy Pelosi would die of a stroke if she had to give up one of her $10,000 refrigerators and the designer ice cream it contains. If all the hypocrits were suddenly vaporized, there wouldn't be ten people left in D.C. or Hollywood.

Just subscribed to Peter Schweizer's podcast, the Drill Down. This could get interesting.

Let's see..........The Clintons and their book deals and the pay to play Clinton Foundation. The Bidens and the Biden Family Crime Syndicate highlighted by Hunter's laptop. The Obamas and their book deals and their deal with Netflix. Nothing to see here folks from the leaders of the party of the oppressed.

If they all made money from the capitalist system they hate so much, good for them. But when we arrive at the socialist Nirvana they claim to want, let's see how they feel when they have to give it all up.

The socialist system they promote has room for them at the top.

I remember that 60 minutes program. Members of Congress are afforded special protections against insider trading laws. I was shocked. My dad was alive back then and he felt the same way.

I've said it before but it bears repeating. A huge improvement in our political double standards would be the passage one constitutional amendment that simply reads: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the American people unless it applies equally to all members of Congress. Congress shall make no law that applies to the members of Congress unless it applies equally to all American people."

I think we already have term limits, they're called elections. The problem is the exposure and money the incumbent can raise. I'd like to see a law that limits campaigning to 30 days before election dates (except for debates) and has a dollar limit depending on the office.

Unfortunately, that “elections are term limits” has become more of a canard than a factual statement: Too many people are content to sit on their hands which, coupled with the election fraud on the increase, renders elections as term limits almost moot.

Unfortunately, that “elections are term limits” has become more of a canard than a factual statement: Too many people are content to sit on their hands... "Sitting on our hands" has turned virtually everything into a canard, but it doesn't negate the fact that elections are term-limitation mechanisms. Honestly, the endless willingness of conservatives to sit back and passively accept everything liberals are eager to shove up their asses, with just an occasional complaint, is the most frustrating aspect of our political environment.

I'm not saying it is negated... It is my observation that, for reasons you state here, it doesn't function as well as it used to... AND it's disfunction is compounded by election fraud.
