When you're an idiot like Gavin Newsom, you try the same solution every time, even though it's failed every time. It's the only solution he's got. That's why he's an idiot.
If I disappear from this forum on Dec. 15, it's because I was thrown in jail for not wearing a mask while shopping.

Possibly, and don't be surprised if the same Draconian measures are extended to other diseases and situations as well. When a populace willingly cedes power to tyrants, it's never given back willingly, and rarely peacefully.

New York hospitals bringing back thousands of non-vaccinated employees as hospitals are full of covid patients who are fully vaccinated.

Whether you consider this a mandate or not, it sucks ........ I have never really been much for "boycotts" as the are usually sophomoric reactions.... but this just makes me think next time I'm headed to Ralphs I'll stop somewhere else.

Out of all of the regular supermarkets, not including Whole Foods - which is not close - and high-end stores, I like Stater Bros. Their first store eons ago was in Yucaipa. They are local. They have the best meat department, by far. They have a great bakery, just as good as Ralphs or Albertsons. They have store brands.
Yah I agree, I don't think I'll shop at Ralphs anymore. Plus, I don't have to wear a mask in Staters....

Agreed. I haven't been inside a Ralphs, Vons or Albertsons in years. I buy all my groceries at Stater Bros. and Trader Joe's.

WELL, isn't THIS interesting:  Only 8 states currently have a mask mandate... 6 of them require masks for vaccinated AND unvaccinated. 🙄 |

I went to both Walmart and Target this morning. (Yeah, I know, I'm a dumbass.) Walmart had a big sign on the door saying masks required. I went in without one and saw that about a third of all the shoppers weren't wearing one either. At Target, there was the same big sign in the door and a big burly uniformed security guard just inside. He looked like a bouncer from a strip club. I told him, "I'm not wearing a f***ing mask." He said, "Yeah, I don't give a sh"t, go on in." So I went in without one and again saw about a quarter of the shoppers were unmasked.
This mandate thing has already lost all its steam.

This year, I started to wear one, but like you, noticed a lot of folks without one AND NO ONE was saying anything about it. So I quit. |

I move through a few counties often during the month, OC has been the most chill with all this to date, LA County the worst followed by Ventura. Spent the last week in SLO County, SLO is more like LA and Paso Robles where I was staying was like OC. Most are worn outside super liberal areas as the hold dear to it. Strange times.
