Remember Trust Ted?
I remember the Republican National Committee trying to get Trump to sign an agreement that said he would support the Republican nominee. He said he would, as long as everyone else did. They did, even Ted Cruz. But then Trump won the nomination and I learned Ted can't be trusted. He didn't support the nominee. I know he was mad at Trump. But you can't trust Ted.
Now he calls Jan 6th a terrorist attack??
I know a lot of people supported Cruz. So did I until now.

Cruz went on Tucker Carlson and said it was a mistake to use those words.

Cruz dropped a few more notches for me. Trump has too. There are worse Republicans, but there are better ones. De Santes is numero uno for me.

I saw that interview with Cruz. Tucker had him squirming and wouldn't buy his phony explanation. I'm delighted at least Tucker makes these spineless politicians held accountable.
My explanation for his choice of words. Cruz wants to run for President, and was playing to the Jan. 6 sham committee to damage Trump's chances.

I've always liked Ted Cruz. But since he grew the beard, he has been acting more and more like a politician and, that, drops him a few points in my estimation. I agree with Duke: He is trying to beat Trump even before the primaries begin.

I understand, but that's like saying a dog is acting more and more like a dog. Eventually people revert to their true nature.

I understand, but that's like saying a dog is acting more and more like a dog. Eventually people revert to their true nature. ESPECIALLY politicians.

Exactly. Politicians trying to act like something else is like putting a fat woman in front of a coconut cream pie. She may be able to resist for a while, but sooner or later she dives in.

I like Ted Cruz too Dave. He reminded me of Ron Paul, a rugged individualist focused on individual liberty. The sad thing is that if you don't act like a politician, then you don't get elected. You need the catch-phrases to energize your base. He was my second pick for President, behind Trump. Why Trump - because he wasn't a politician. He was a real estate developer and game show host.

At this point, I am hoping (likely in vain) that Trump will not run. I would like to see a DeSantis/Cruz ticket...
So since I won't get my wish, it would be better for the country if the GOP ticket was Trump/DeSantis.

Trump / Biden would be better than what we got now. If De Santis runs, he gets my vote in the primary.
