Tom Brady had a full career. A great career. Same with Joe Montana. But what about those who had their career cut short in football, baseball, boxing or whatever?
The first person that comes to mind is Joe Theismann. I bet everyone remembers that injury. That night no one was talking about a comeback. His career was over. Personally, I think he had years left. No?

I was going to post Bo Jackson next. If I remember right, it was a hip injury. Also, how many people played two different processional types of sports. How about basketball and baseball? Michael Jordon? Chuck Connors? Personally, I would have loved to play pro football and baseball and "be like Bo"...

Also, how many people played two different processional types of sports. It's going to be hard for anyone to beat Jim Thorpe's accomplishments. He won the pentathlon and decathlon in the 1912 Olympics. He played in the NFL for eight years and made the 1920's All-Decade Team. And he played major league baseball for six seasons. The only thing he didn't win was the Kentucky Derby.

I meant without a mount, just Thorpe running against the horses.
