Yeah, I had no horse in the Empire League, but I was hugely impressed by the spirit in that thread, and I believe I posted that, in that thread. I thought it was refreshing that those fans were just as excited about their teams, as the D1 guys were about ours. Those were special times. Pretty much had multiple guys from each of the Empire schools banter things about, and it was all pretty positive spirited. Weren't you Lionhunter back then? Yes I was. |

OK, another Tustin pick. The Tillers need to be tilled and pulled up by the roots. That is a -14.5, not a +14.5 spread. I guess they need at least one win this season.  There is a still a little peanut butter left in that jar. I admit, the game is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Hopefully Kennedy puts more than 7 points on the board. |

And no way if a Friar or two were up on you could you muster that keyboard and update those rankings... With that, the "BIG GAME".... "Friday night's matchup will feature a combined 70 players that have landed at least one FBS offer. The Braves have 38, while the Monarchs have 32. It also includes a combined 48 players who are rated as a three-star recruit or higher on 247Sports."It's easy to see why we have here #1 & #2 teams in the country, accumulating that level of talent in one place equals success. Or at least "BEST" as I believe success can be achieved at many levels beyond simply being the best.
So who is better right now is only opine, that will be settled Friday on the field, looking forward to witnessing the spectacle. My feeling all season, including observing summer league, has been its SJB's year. Negro outpaced MD in the player accumulation phase stacking his previous deck. During the summer 7v7 competitions I think a bit of youth, inexperience showed as some have pointed out. I just didn't see the QB & WR relationship that previous QB's @ MD had shown with their receiving corps. Yet looking at who has played the tougher schedule, who has better "WINS", its Mater Dei with wins over two top 10 teams in country, SJB best wins is against #23.
Now for the SMH observation, that last game against JSerra? Looking at ways to through that out of my prediction equation but I just cant. I didn't see the game, so maybe there is something there outside the "looking ahead" to next week excuse. I think we can agree JS has got a bit better but to almost upset MD right now, no way no how!
On paper, MD will be the best team SJB has seen, unless they play like last week like a team barely in the top 100. I don't think that will be the case. I think this comes down to how SJB will handle their first adversity which I believe MD will bring as SJB has won games handily to date. How will they do if they actually get behind or even tied say at the half or Q3? This has all the fixins' of a good one, I've been leaning SJB, MD will have to show last week was an hiccup, atelier.

Timely applies to making picks on "time" not posting standings, I think we all have the ability at any glance to know where we stand should we post standings Monday Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday.... |
