As I watch the Russia/Ukraine war play out I'm shocked we have put trillions of dollars into NATO to fight a country as weak as Russia. IMO NATO is going to take out Russia and that was the plan from the start. After Russia is finished we will have NATO in Europe with nobody to fight. What will we/they do with one of the top military's in the world?
Are we going to hand over NATO to the EU? It reminds me of the Clone Army in Stars Wars. One day the Republic was nothing but a bunch of bureaucrats and the next day had the most powerful army in the universe.

I wouldn't worry about NATO. The only way they take out Russia is if we lead the fight. Without us doing that, they are a bunch of impotent, limp you-know-whats. Their excusions in Yugoslavia, Libya and Afghanistan were against guerillas and second-rate powers. They are like the U.N. - great at talking and passing resolutions of disapproval, but nothing else. NATO has never defeated anyone in anything without America leading the charge and footing the bill, and there's no reason to expect anything different from them now.

OPEC just voted to cut oil pumping by 2,000,000 barrels a day. Wall Street said to look at gas in the US to be over $10.00 a gallon or as much as $18.00 a gallon by Christmas.

Why are they sending the Wisconsin National Guard to Africa for over a year?
1. To help the people in Africa?
2. To free up room at National Guard base for "other people"?
3. Remove the NG for upcoming riots?
4. Other?

Ukraine is the new Afghanistan, though it's been a money laundering operation for some time already. Trump was starting to overturn some of those rocks in his "perfect phone call" with Zelensky, which is why they impeached him.
