49 Republicans.
48 Democrats.
3 Independents.
Why are the independents counted as Democrats? If they wanted to be part of the Democrats party the could be but they don't.

I've been called a RINO any time I've not been lockstep with the agenda. Pretty funny when you consider I'm not a Republican.

I've been called out any number of times (on this forum) for stating my opinion that Donald Trump is a boorish, selfish, narcissist rather than overlook all that and bow at his alter in abject adoration. And I'm not a Republican either. |

Just for fun, I'm going to lay out some of my positions that are on both sides of the aisle...
2A - gun ownership fine... Even AR-15. But, you must get licensed every 4 years just like a driver's license.
Gay marriage - I support people who love each other to get the legal benefits of that relationship. God gets to judge if it's ok or not.
Abortion - 1st trimester ok. After that, medical reasons only.
Climate change - man caused rationale is dubious at best, but I support most pollution controls for air and water quality.
Immigration - unless you're a criminal, anyone who wants to become a US citizen should be allowed to. Welfare benefits would be available on a 10 year vesting schedule based on a minimum tax based earnings threshold. The border must be secure.
Healthcare - state facilities available for all as part of Medicare tax. Eliminate first dollar and employer sponsored health insurance, make FDA drug approval optional but identified as such (already did this with Covid vaccines), allow insurance companies to bid across state lines.
Term Limits for all politicians and SCOTUS not to exceed 8 years max.
