'Nobody works. Nobody gives a damn'

For ten thousand years it's been a fundamental tenet of the human race that you had to work to survive, that is, to secure food, clothing, shelter and security for oneself and one's family. That basic truth is now being challenged and undermined by the notion that work is not necessary for survival. Instead, all one needs is a government with the willingness to print money in an endless flow and find a way to get it to its citizens. We'll see soon enough if that new paradigm is true, or if it's as full of shit as common sense would have us believe.

But seriously, one problem with the leftist agenda is that they pretend it exists in a vacuum, and that there aren't opportunistic foreign actors waiting to take advantage of our weaknesses. For example, the primary purpose of our military used to be to maintain a capability to crush any foreign rival if it became necessary. Now that it's primary purpose is to determine whether or not it is woke enough, and whether we have enough gay, lesbian and transgender soldiers and sailors, we are weaker every day because of it, and sooner or later that will cost us dearly on the international stage.
