Just saw Dave Koz and friends Christmas concert at Cerritos.
Jonathan Butler does this solo that's very Christian music oriented... Certainly nothing at all like the circus act at the White House or what we are treated to on mainstream media.
At the end of the song, he gets a standing O. It was so uplifting to see this unexpected tribute for him with such a religious song. It felt like the mass of those fellow concert goes were just saying ENOUGH!
Mind you, most of the music was the traditional stuff... White Christmas, Rudolph, etc. Also, Dave Koz is Jewish.
A side note, we got to hear this 16 year old named Justin-Lee Schultz... What a talent! He's a jazz pianist with a really good voice that also plays sax and guitar.
In any event, had to share this with you all. Special night indeed.
