I couldn't think of a category for this so I'm starting a new thread for any interesting photos. Not meant to be political or themed in any way, despite this first post. As has become normal, Donald and Melania are sitting four feet apart, both with scowls on their faces. Looks like true marital bliss. |

I’m pretty sure Trump thinks that’s his “serious business” face. |

They are sitting with who I believe are the Japanese president & his wife in some kind of VIP section. Notice the distance between any of them & their neighbor, it is all the same. The chair Melania is in looks to have armrests, something the cheapseats don't have. So in summary, the seating appears to be the reason for the distance, not some hatred between each other. BTW, do you work for CNN on the side...  |

Got to cast my ballot with RSM on that one.
I see Melania as more of an introverted, private person as she's gotten away from her modeling. The completely unprovoked, truly vicious, attacks she's gone thru the past 2-3 years is unfathomable for me. I can't imagine what it must be like for her.
Apologies, Credo, for further hijacking this thread. I'll see if I can find some interesting photo to bring it back on track.

1. The distance between Donald and Melania is greater than between the other seats.
2. They are the only two people with a dude standing between them.
3. Donald is wearing his usual Mussolini tough-guy scowl.
4. Melania looks like she's thinking, "How the hell do I get the eff out of here?"

C'mon pops - she's leaning closer to Donald than she is to Mrs. Abe, and the only person smiling in that picture was the guy in the white shirt that used to be the avatar of Walking E, only now he's right-side up.

Really, guys? They aren't scowling? The distances are all the same? Melania's chair has arm rests? The left attacks Melania too much? She hates sumo wrestling? She's leaning? The chairs are too big? With all the combined intellect of the Trump supporters on this board, you can't come up with anything better than that as evidence they're a lovey-dovey couple? I think the truth is Melania can't stand the position Donald has put her in by winning the election, and she clearly resents him for it.

I doubt anyone here thinks those 2 are lovey dovey. It takes 2 to tango, and I don't think Don has shown anything that resembles the vulnerability you need to have such a relationship.
But you're reaching to conclude there's something in THAT photo.

I suppose there are a number of ways to overanalyze this picture:
1). She is wearing red, indicating she is amenable to potential advances from her husband while he is wearing a pink tie indicating his feminine side is actived and, therefore, they are impatient and cannot wait for this sumo match to end, or
2). On my large screen computer I notice that the President’s nose is 5.3 cm from Abe’s, which is the same distance from Melania Trump’s to Mrs. Abe’s, while the Trump/Trump nasal distance is 6.4 cm, 20.7% further and therefore indicating significant marital discord. She also has 2 fingers visible on her right hand indicating a desire for peace and thus opposition to the border wall and Russian collusion and trade disputes with Japan and China, or
3). It’s just a random photograph of a married couple sitting in very wide chairs who have zero interest in a sumo match but are trying to be polite……………………………Luca

I can' be sure whether you are serious or not with your "analysis", but it is either an intentional or unintentional wonderful example of confirmation bias. If one truly believes Melania hates Donald, then of course she is trying to get away from him with a scowl on her face. What else can it be?? Don't normal people smile as a pair of 300lb nearly naked men slam into each other just yards away from them? Don't all still images capture exactly what is happening in the same manner of a video?? If you look closely, you can see a small sign in her hand that says "Help me!!" |
