After 6-0, shouldn't it be time to pull back on the offense? And I'd give the Loyola H.S. soccer team even odds or better to beat the women's U.S. national team.

I understand they are paid about 2/3 what the men are paid. If their pay should be a reflection of the success they have, and the viewership and interest they generate, they should be paid MORE than the men.

But this is pretty embarrassing from a national TV network. I laugh at pretty much anything, but this... not so much

IMO, it is shameful and they should not celebrate (or be rewarded for) this accomplishment. |

Many athletes will tell you that it is more insulting for a superior opponent to back off and show pity than to keep attacking and celebrating.

Well like everything else this World Cup and US Women's team is causing more political stir than play stir.... everything I read or listen to now is "EQUAL PAY"!

These people have zero knowledge of how economics work.
You never see them complaining that female pornstars typically make twice what their male counterparts make, even if those male actors are from Mater Dei & undersized.

Bick: "Exactly why I can't stand the running clock in football." I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes: " War hath no fury like a non-combatant." No doubt there are many athletes who say it is more insulting. Just as there are many athletes who kneel during the National Anthem and think they are making a courageous statement. But I think the vast majority of athletes understand sportsmanship. There's just not many of them on the US national women's team.........................................Luca |
