These people have zero knowledge of how economics work. You never see them complaining that female pornstars typically make twice what their male counterparts make, even if those male actors are from Mater Dei & undersized. Damn RSM, how do you know they are undersized? LOL |

How does the U.S. women's team failing equate to Trump failing? As far as I know, he hasn't played so much as a second in any of the games. I want the U.S. to win because I want vindication for Alex Morgan. But I want them to lose, with Megan Rapinoe somehow being the goat of the World Cup.

I think the Professor meant that many want the U.S., as a nation, to fail so that Trump gets blamed. Otherwise, I pretty much echo your sentiments here. Especially with yet another USW team member, Ali Krieger, trashing Trump in defense of the churlish Megan Rapinoe. The thing is, Trump of course will be portrayed as the bad guy in this spat, even though he's been pretty damned magnanimous about the whole thing, declaring the USW team will be invited to the WH win or lose. Rapinoe picked this fight, not Trump. The petty selfishness and narcissism displayed by these women is really remarkable. They could have kept their politics to themselves and been celebrated by proud Americans from coast to coast. Now it is THEY who have politicized this event and their result on Sunday will be viewed in part by partisan lenses. THE LEFT RUINS EVERYTHING IT TOUCHES. |

no fan of Rapinoe, but at least she delivers the goods. Hope her and a few of her teammates realize that their country is bigger than the current occupant of the WH-but I doubt they will figure that out.

Funny thing is that women's sports didn't really get into politics much. They're not all that compelling in the first place.
This is not the way to endear yourself to viewers / sponsors, which leads to getting the $$ they think they deserve.

My worst nightmare has come true. Megan Rapinoe won the Golden Shoe award and was MVP of the tournament -- all for making three penalty kicks.
