I know the Trump-haters are going to cringe at this, but DJT is 100% spot on. The whole rotten scheme to undermine our Republic is being exposed.

From Coach: [Okay fellow posters....the Deep State is quickly getting more and more shallow. Good reporters have now discovered a 3rd dossier written by Bruce Ohr's wife, who worked for GPS. Not only did that rotten snake, Rosenstein sign off on the fake dossiers, he also proposed to wear a wire in the Oval Office to try to apply the 25th amendment and kick Trump out of office. Treason! I hope Comey, McCabe, and Rosenstein gets arrested. Do I have permission to head to TOB and gloat? Taking a vote. I love ripping into the unwashed.] Interesting news. Will have to check it out. If you've been following this whole fiasco, there's a very plausible theory that much of the "Steele Dossier" was not actually a product of former MI-6 agent Christopher Steele, but was rather the work of Nellie Ohr and a couple of Hillary Clinton hatchet men, using her improper (illegal) access to the NSA database as an outside contractor. This helps explain why the wrong Michael Cohen was identified in the dossier as having traveled to Prague in the summer of 2016. This totally made-up trash was then circulated to Steele (who was being paid by Fusion GPS) so it could be "laundered" back to the FBI so as to appear to be raw intelligence from a foreign source, thus making it more palatable to the FISA court. Machiavellian. As far as gloating to TOB, those guys are impervious to facts. Vilepagan will respond that your account is "made up." This was their retort when I asserted that the reason Hillary was never going to be indicted was because it would expose Barack Obama as one of those who communicated with her via her personal email (and private server), thus exposing his lie that he "learned about the server through press reports." I had sprung the trap.....and when I provided a documented story to back up my claim, he, Wabash, and Bongo quickly changed the subject. I was scolded more than once over there for trying to drag them back on topic when they did that. The vile admin accused me of unwillingness to discuss a topic calmly and he also accused me of not sticking to the topic, which was a puzzler. in any case, my response, when they would invariably try to change the topic, was something to the effect, “I understand that, but [this] is what we are talking about, not [that].” So, they would try to argue about THAT instead of returning to the real topic...[repeat]

Probably the most frustrating aspect of engaging over there, Dave.
I think an important question to ask here is...IS Barr objective enough to succeed in his role, or is this a biased hiring? It seems our POTUS is not at all shy about ditching those not in agreement with him, and that undermines the entire credibility. If we are to believe what we're reading here and elsewhere on the conservative side of the aisle, the entire FBI / DOJ was corrupt from the prior administration. So now both those entities are operating primarily as political operatives as well?

Can and WILL he fulfill the requirements of the job?

Biased hiring? Please define... you hire who you feel fit for the job and will do the job as described, honestly the biased side just spent two years and 30 Million dollars seeing what would stick, very little. So let’s be fair (biased) and spend a few bucks and months now seeing what sticks!

I think we might have seen some biased hiring in some of Trump’s initial Cabinet picks: Giving someone the job because they supported Trump and not because they were the best suited or most knowledgeable about the position. Maybe most or all of those are now gone (?) and those who should have a given job can get down to business.

This is getting into the granular details of the entire Trump-Russia Collusion story, but Sundance over at the Conservative Treehouse website lays out a theory which he has been working on for quite some time now. It makes complete sense and is based on a TON of research into the subject. The headline reads: Spygate and The Steele Dossier Were The Cover Story – The Real Issue is Years of Obama-era Surveillance and Political Spy Operations…
Essentially what he is proposing is that the entire Steele Dossier and the associated spying on the Trump campaign were mere CYA actions to cover up for years of extra-legal political surveillance that was occurring under the administration of Barack Obama. This was the "insurance policy" talked about between FBI skunks Strzok, Page, and McCabe, in the remote case that Hillary lost the election. We now know the main thrust of their plan to frame Donald Trump didn't work; it remains to be seen if A.G. William Barr is willing to undertake the Herculean task of cleaning house and exposing the malefactors for what they were up to. I hope to God he's up to it. theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/04/22/spygate-and-the-steele-dossier-were-the-cover-story-the-real-issue-is-years-of-obama-era-surveillance-and-political-spy-operations/#more-162824p.s. I have reached Statesman status after 500 posts! Was wondering what the next designation would be. Cool stuff. All I got from TOB was abuse and banishment. Bick is definitely a superior moderator to JQP.

Typically given to male rats who survive 6 months with getting run over by a train or squished by commuters, this medal of honor usually kills the recipient because they have no where to pin it and end up bleeding to death when they attach it to their skin.

I've said it before: James Comey (along with John Brennan) might be the absolute worst character in this whole sordid affair. After he illegally leaked government documents to the New York Times in order to "trigger the appointment of a special counsel" (his words in his 2017 Senate testimony) he's now unhappy that the outcome he was hoping for has not materialized.
Lock him up!

Just a reminder: Peter Strzok was the FBI agent in charge of both the Hillary email investigation that ended in July 2016 AND the Trump-Russia collusion investigation that was launched immediately afterwards. But I'm sure it was all above board and "by the book."
