So far I see no Presidential threat..... only thing the pot smoker from California has going for her is an early primary now and the 55 gifted electorate votes from California should she face Trump.

More from Kamala - apparently touting the virtues of interest free loans TO the federal gov't. The same Kamala that smoked dope in College and listened to Snoop Dog and Tupac in 1986? LOL

I realized that some may not be old enough to know what the Soylent Green New Deal reference is. So I have included a link to the Soylent Corporation's website: rachelaaron.net/soylent/soyryb.htmlCheck it out. Besides a description of its four delicious flavors (yellow, blue, red and of course, green) you can also explore their Final Care, and Waste Disposal departments, search job opportunities, and explore mission statements and history. Newest executives include A O C, and Corey Booker Trust them...even after all the cows are killed, there will still be plenty of great food to eat!

Considering his history of gaffes, maybe Uncle Joe was really referring to himself.

Hopefully this thread can serve as a catchall for various news and tidbits about the evergrowing throng of those hoping to unseat Trump in the 2020 election. I’ll say it here and, in a couple years, you guys will believe me to be a prophet: if ANY one of the currently declared or anticipated Democrats (to include Biden, mr. Michele Obama, and Clinton) makes it as the democrats nominee, it will guarantee Trump a second term. remember, you heard it here first.

I think you are on to something Dave! It's all in Trumps hands however which is why I agree often with Bick and others that at some point Trump needs to get out of his own way.... he is a LIVE WIRE and he can easily trip himself. I think his policies will carry him but he insistently feels he needs to do more... tweet, bully, etc....

I’ll say it here and, in a couple years, you guys will believe me to be a prophet: if ANY one of the currently declared or anticipated democraps (to include Biden, mr. Michele Obama, and Clinton) makes it as the democraps nominee, it will guarantee Trump a second term. remember, you heard it here first. One of the things that drove me away from TOB was the constant barrage of insulting terms used by the usual suspects to describe Trump, Republicans, conservatives and us. I'd love to think this forum will hold itself to a higher standard. So Dave, I'd ask that you don't use terms like "democraps", lest we start down that same shitty road.

Pejoratives aside, a moderate dem might prove to be a tough out for Trump.
Jared Polis might be a decent challenge if he throws his hat in the ring. He checks a few boxes on the leadership front.

Another about to drop his hat into the candidacy ring, and who I think would end up with the nomination, is Joe Biden.
Prior to him going to Europe and declaring the US an embarrassment, he's already re-engaging with his identity politics stand. While I doubt he'll ever admit he smoked weed with Willie, I thought this an interesting take on his part to go along with his condemnation of the racist homophobes that attacked poor Jussie Smollett.

What about Howard Schultz, former CEO of Starbucks? An interesting article in last week’s Fortune magazine talks about the as-yet unannounced presidential aspirations this guy might or might not have. The Pro of a Schultz candidacy-His desire to run as an independent would siphon votes from the democrats (for a change) -he wants to more closely monitor political campaign contributions (cancel them all together until Congress “gets their act together”) -he is (another) savvy business man with a head for marketing -he stands a good chance of impacting our entrenched two-party system The Con of a Schultz candidacy-I don’t like his liberal ideas about gun control or abortion or health care or illegal immigration... and he could get elected. -he is much more like Bernie Sanders in his economic philosophies than he is like, say, Ted Cruz -from our department of redundancy department, he might win. So that article is from last week and we have not heard anything from him since, so I’d imagine the democrats flew into a frenzied panic at the thought of him running and have likely, by now, made him an offer he can’t refuse... Have you considered Howard?
