As much as this is not at all hard on the eyes, whadda ya say we set this as the edge of acceptability here. You mean, swimsuits and lingerie -- OK; Nudity -- not so much? We can't be smiling that much looking at the Whiskey thread without raising too much suspicion, right? 🥃 😉 |

Ok yes...I just want to say that SK80 is the man...learned a lot, much respect, may have been quick to judge as his wit is sharp and his knowledge impressive.
That said I will taste em all especially when invited to try a one's favorite stash. However full disclosure I am a simple man, and Jack Daniels is my choice, smooth and reliable. With a splash or big rock, problem for me is every time I look at my bottle it is emptier than I remembered...

Oh Bick..., you really want to get me started... from Whiskey to the CDM-Los AL game !! Well, I'm still waiting for a few signals here at 5:45 AM from Live on my picks, let me see if I can do a quick take for you.... Whiskey, yup.. Belle Meade is on the top shelf for me! This comes from Tennesse and I jumped on the wagon here many years ago when the old Greenbrier Label was being resurrected. If I get a chance later this evening I'll post my Belle Meade collection. Belle Meade Madeira, the third in the "flavored" series after Cognac and Sherry finishes. Madeira, an island off Spain and Morocco known for its port like wines, fact.., it was one of George Washington's favorite imports! I love Rye whiskey, this is a Bourbon, but just at 51% corn which allows to be called so, 30% rye here so its considered a higher rye Bourbon. Probably the reason its on my top shelf list. Disclaimer: like coffee, I tend to not like "flavored" spirits. Second, I own one bottle of the Sherry release but have yet to open. So I can not give you a personal review on anything from the flavored cash releases. I like Belle Meade Bourbons for their high rye content, I like whiskey i the sense the flavor profiles like wine are vast, so its fun and always a new experience. That said what is the cost associated with the experiment? I always look at what I want to buy or try, put it within that price category then see what else is up against it fro what you would have to pay. I shop in the OC at Hi-Times in Costa Mesa, best place on earth. I see their internet price is $67.99, thats below the $75-$79 price I see elsewhere. So the question i always ask myself or my guys at Hi-Times, in this price wheel house what else should I consider? My guess is that you will find higher rated Bourbons than this one, but again remember, many of the reviews for flavored cask wines come from purists whom just don't like the approach. So, I probably have confused you by now! Don't let me..! Oh and if you are picking Los Al by 3 I can do a better job of that in convincing you on how to pick! |

Stop by and say hi. I'm pretty sure we'll be at a table in front of the nice, but unusable pressbox, on the far right as you're looking at it.
We start at 6:30,and if it's the running clock you think it will be, we should be done by 9.
At least we won't have to deal with the TV timeouts

Was just thinking about hitting Hi-Times today and got to wondering what you ended up buying or indulging in? Whatever it was hope it eased the pain!

Didn't end up going.
Wasn't all that painful. Good experience for our kids going up against the best in the division.
It was interesting for about 14 minutes

Sorry guys, but tonite, like the thread title..., "Whiskeys - all of them"..... I'm about half way through them all after watching that SOTU!  And it started in a good way till the Pelosi Paper Shredder took center stage..... pulled out the good stuff now hitting the better and BEST stuff! |
