And notice where the ref was. Chase was likely thinking he'd get away with it because the ref wasn't in position to see.
And by the way, any QB who comes to the Super Bowl ostentatiously dressed like a gender fluid metrosexual zoot suiter deserves to lose..................Luca

DBs had their hands all over the WRs all game. The game has become so physical, and DB's have become so talented, that pass interference/holding occurs on virtually every play. The fact that officials flag some and not others, at their whim, is a farce.

At the risk of being overly picayunish, Doc, that was Higgins, not Chase.
To your point MDD, that def holding call on 3rd down wasn't close to what they let slide for the first 58:30. Good for Zac Taylor not to bitch about it afterwards. On another note, how humble was Cooper Kupp accepting the MVP trophy. Don't recall hearing anyone say they didn't deserve it before.

Kupp's a throw back. He does all kinds of things like run disciplined routes, block surprisingly well, field punts, and is deceptively fast without being a burner. But he doesn't do flamboyance. You hardly see any emotion from him after he makes a play. He didn't even seem excited after he caught the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl. You wouldn't know whether he's in a game or practice by his demeanor. He showed a little bit of emotion after catching that 44 yard pass to set up the field goal against Tampa Bay, but that's about it. It's funny when you compare him to Odell Beckham who can't resist being a dancing queen after catching a 3 yard out.
As a matter of fact he's very much like me when I played, except in my case it's because I never did anything notable.

He was born in San Mateo and graduated from Serra HS in San Mateo. Probably grew up a 9ers fan

He went to 9ers games when Montana was playing. I think I read once.

This was very surprising. Don't see it ending well for him.

Who has more money, his wife? He needs to come back to make mo money.
I agree Bick, he would have been leaving at his pinnacle. He won the Superbowl two years ago. If the Bucks go on to win more Super Bowls under his tutelage, I will be amazed. I guess he still feels strong.

The whole risk / reward evaluation seems off for my set of values. I remember as a teenager taking that last ski run at the end of a long day when I was tired. Thankfully, it just ended with bumps and bruises instead of a hospital visit. This has the same flavor to it.

I guess I disagree. Brady is not Willie Mays, staggering under flyballs and unable to hit in the last years of his career. His 2021 season saw no degradation in his game, so I don't think he's a tired old Joe Biden taking that last ski run down the slopes late in the day. Sure, he might get hit and blow an ACL to end his career, but the same is true of any other quarterback. He's still one of the best in down league, and maybe he can't face the ugly possibility of quitting and having to spend every day in bed with Giselle.
