MDD - I think more a function of ego than class. Seems to be a clear by product of the liberal mindset.

For the record, JQP read my private message to him late yesterday afternoon. I'm surprised that he hasn't bothered to respond, especially since I was a moderator over there for years, helped him on several projects, and was the guy he used to seek out for advise. I'm disappointed, as I thought he had more class than that. He might have changed in the ensuing years, but he was not someone who seemed grateful for constructive criticism and feedback.

Isn't that the essence of liberalism, Dave?

He use to pound me over my linking anything, I tried to tell him copying and pasting articles was not always prudent, I always added my take but he was in fear of posters going off to other links/sites. He banned my account for a day. Seems like a power tripper.

Here's an interesting detail, just between us girls. Wabash has been warned 34 times and banned 11 times, yet he's still there. Meanwhile, some on this forum were banned with few or any warnings or previous temporary bans. Nothing like an even-handed moderator.
P.S. For some bizarre reason, he's also changed his login password 10 times.

How did RSM become a "Senior Contributor before me? I invited him here. LOL Even when I go back to the board with my victory dance, I still have Wabash on ignore. I actually know a person that was his fire captain. Yep, he is a useful idiot. One of the funny things about our leaving, is that Wabash is now their main target. Edit: I see by MDDAD's post above mine, that Wabash has been a target long before we left. But now, if we stay off that board, Wabash becomes the #1 whipping boy.

...Wabash has been ... banned 11 times... That is too funny. I thought I was a jerk for getting banned & coming back once (only to get banned again), but coming back 11 times is amazing. He is like the illegal alien they keep deporting but who sneaks right back in. I got banned once from a bass fishing website. One of the moderators was a mouthy dude from New Jersey and I got on his bad side (imagine me doing that!!). When I wrote something disparaging about his heart throb Tom Brady, he flipped out & gave me a warning & a week suspension. The published rules for the site was 5 warnings & you were banned, so at the end of the week, I tried to log back in, but couldn't. I PM'd the site administrator, who said "they" talked about it and felt that I probably wouldn't learn my lesson from this one warning & would most likely continue to write things that would receive warnings, so they banned me now instead later. So essentially, I got banned for what I might write...

They must have thought you were a real bass turd.
(Sorry, but when one has a gift for puns one feels an obligation to share it with society)
Wabash is such a bizarre character. If the board were a symphony, he’d be the guy with cymbals just randomly clanging them together making the same goddam monotonal sound over and over no matter what the passage or tempo. It became comical but, yeah, I had to put him on ignore also.
I may be confusing my websites, but isn’t he the same guy called e rosewater several years ago? Too many parallels............Luca

I take responsibility for some of those bans, at least the earlier ones. probably before the vile one but definitely after he was there a week before being made a moderator, Wabash and I were often at odds. First JQ and, then, the vile one would sentence me to some form of discipline but leave the anointed one alone for the exact same “infraction.” i privately took it to JQ and told him I get that he doesn’t want me around, but to scold me but leave Wabash alone for the seme infraction was childish and without integrity. so he started publicly scolding both of us and then I started seeing him met out more stern measures to the lad.

...I may be confusing my websites, but isn’t he the same guy called e rosewater several years ago? Too many parallels............Luca Yeah, I was pretty sure they were one & the same. Rosewater got banned (as opposed to suspended) and then Wabash popped up. Both loved to use the term "swamp fever" until a few people pointed that out, then Wabash dropped it from his vocabulary. The thing I found funny about Wabash was he was basically a dolt. A persistent, determined dolt, but a dolt nonetheless. It was easy to predict his responses to posts, so if you engaged him one-on-one, you could lead him down a path to a dead end where he was basically arguing against himself. That wouldn't stop him, like the little worker ant trying to drag the breadcrumb home, he would just reverse course and keep plugging along. One of the most fun times I had was him was when he made some off handed, implied insult about my wife. I immediately donned the victim mantle and posted that what he said was offensive because my wife had just passed away a month earlier (100% not true). He took it seriously, trying to prove that I was lying by bringing up past posts where I had mentioned my wife in the present tense. I continued to claim I was offended by his accusations, with each of my posts about her death getting more & more absurd. I believe Red (coach) even posted that he had gone to the funeral. Wabash thought it was admirable to try to prove that my wife was still alive, so therefore insulting her was acceptable. Wabash is too dumb to realize when you are screwing with him, he is like the straight man in a Monty Python sketch.

"When I wrote something disparaging about his heart throb Tom Brady, he flipped out & gave me a warning & a week suspension." Well then you deserved it..... What normal, rational male would pose for a photo like that? The hair coiffed in a manner to look casual, the 2 day stubble, the rugged Western jacket with no shirt...What a major league doosh!! A really soft man trying to look outdoor tough. Sheesh. He is the predictable result of a diva raised in the Bay Area who then works in Boston as an adult.
