LOL.IDK, but I doubt it. I don't think JQP has gone full big brother mode.
If there is such a way to see PMs, I'm not aware how to do it, not that I think it's appropriate even if I were so inclined to snoop.

In the ongoing comparison of the two boards, here are the metrics for the last five days, which were pretty typical of the trend:

Total - 117
Number Of Posts On TOB
Saturday - 4
Sunday - 12

Tuesday - 14
Wednesday - 11
Total - 54
So this forum has more than twice the volume with about 1/20th the membership of TOB.
Perhaps more revealing is who posted 54 times on TOB:
JQP - 14
Vilepagan - 8
Wabash - 8
Fordama - 2
Professor Fate - 2
SK80 - 1
Luca - 1
Red - 1
11 miscellaneous sports posters - 17
Conclusions: (1) JQP is nobly trying to keep that forum alive almost by himself. (2) His two top henchmen are still trying to help him out. (3) Fordama seems to have lost interest. (4) Much like the O.C. Register, TOB continues to slowly circle the drain.

In the past 90 days, we average 31.7 posts per day. Based on what MDD posted, that's 3x the activity on TOB.
The reasons are pretty clear. Over there, the conversation is limited to "Trump and all his minions suck...let me count the ways", OR "Can you believe all the xfers MD and Bosco got? on the sports side.
Here, it's the heavens, hell (assuming hell is actually south of heaven), and everything in between. Just a tad more subject matter.

The bulk of the activity on the political side of TOB has fallen into a very consistent and predictable pattern: JQP will post the latest Donald Trump tweet, and write a sentence or two about how stupid Trump is. Then Wabash and Vilepagan will agree with how stupid Trump is...restated in their own words. Then, unless someone from this board interjects to disagree, the conversation ends until the next time Trump tweets.

The irony is liberals march behind a banner of tolerance, and inclusivity while spewing how IN-tolerant non-liberals are. A further contrast is our ability to engage with each other here on a wide variety of subjects, and at least attempt to understand the points being made. |
