SK80, the objective of this pool is to win, not to display blind school loyalty.

SK80, the objective of this pool is to win, not to display blind school loyalty. of course o thou so serious one....! no one here would ever accuse...... well maybe TOB! one clarification, can we "edit" our picks at any time before kick off, should we hear news or find any other reason to doubt our initial assessment of a game? I know we said tuesday was the deadline originally but I prefer to make my picks on Fridays..... anyhow, maybe we can agree on a set time as in 30 minutes before a game etc...... I see if you "edit" as others already have o this weeks picks it will show that an "edit" has been made.

Love it MDD only guy going against his team...! SF is fave by 4 on a neutral field, give MD home points 2.5 my handicap is SF fave by 1.5 Wait--I had to do a double take on seeing that pick. Dang, how good must this St. Frances team be that they are a favorite over Mater Dei?

Pretty much......, assuming if SF wins they beat the other top two opponents and if MD wins and beats SJB..... SF's toughest games: Toughest 2019 Regular Season Opponents Opponent RatingMater Dei (Santa Ana, CA) 110.4 IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL) 81.4 St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, NJ) 68.9

Dang, how good must this St. Frances team be that they are a favorite over Mater Dei? Probably not many people here have seen the St. Frances kids. In a school of only 200 students, they've somehow managed to put together a team of kids that look like 25-year-old college players. Maybe it has something to do with their co-head coach spending $2 million of his own fortune to "upgrade" the program in the last two years. If Mater Dei wins, it will be because of superior coaching and conditioning. It's up to Bruce and Bryce.

706 - SK80 696 - MDDad 600 - Professor Fate 544 - Playthegame 512 - Bick 351 - Credo Like a dummy I made two late edits one being on my team lowering my 49 point prediction (which was exact!) to 35 after I listened to too many parents and witnessed the standing "O" ceremony/recognition for ex-CDM coach Meyer before kickoff..... also lowered my 11 point MD win prediction to 6 upon reading how stacked this St. Francis team was and how big, even though I was confident MD's experience and coaching would win out in the end. " src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/superangry.png"> @mdda, I am still not sure how the scoring here goes, example being..., on what I just laid out above..., what point diff. would I have erected for the CDM by 49 instead of 35 and MD by 11 rather than 6...?

SK, if you had picked Corona del Mar by 49, you would have gotten 30 points for picking the winner and -0 for missing the spread = 30 points Since you picked Corona del Mar by 35, you got 30 points for picking the winner and -14 for missing the spread = 16 points.
If you had picked Mater Dei by 11, you would have gotten 30 points for picking the winner and -5 for missing the spread = 25 points Since you picked Mater Dei by 6, you got 30 points for picking the winner and -10 for missing the spread = 20 points.
SK, you would have had 19 more points for the week and the season if you had gone with your original picks.
The bad news is I didn't see your late edits, so I will lower your points for the week and the season by 19. Thanks for pointing it out. Sometimes honesty can bite you in the ass.
